Renew Your Licence SIA licences do not renew automatically, so you will need to renew your licence if you wish to continue working in the same role after your current licence expires.

Good news for licence applicants: We are reducing the licence fee further! From 1 April 2020 individual licences for all sectors will be reduced from £210 to £190. The reduction applies to both new applicants and those renewing existing licences. Licence holders applying for an additional licence after this date will pay 50% of the new reduced fee.

Our Chair Elizabeth France said: “Our aim is to be as efficient as possible and provide the best value for money for those we regulate. Read about how a door supervisor in Norwich bravely leapt into action, while walking his dog, using a wooden post to try and fend off two men who were trying to steal a bag from a man they had attacked and threatened to stab.The victim, a man in his 40s, had been walking through Douro Place in Norwich, when he was approached by two men, one of which threatened to stab him before he was punched in the face by the second man. They had been trying to steal his bag before a passing dog-walker intervened to help the victim.
Bob, 40, who did not want to reveal his full name, said he had been taking his dog, Paul, for a walk when he came across three men who seemed to be "stumbling around" up ahead.

We are reducing our charges to individuals from next month as part of our commitment to drive down costs.

From 1st October 2019 individual licences for all sectors will be reduced from £220 to £210. The reduction applies to both new applicants and those renewing existing licences. Licence holders applying for an additional licence after this date will pay 50% of the new reduced fee.

The licence fee has been set at £220 since January 2012, if adjusted for inflation the licence fee would be £257.

If you are able to delay your licence application without working illegally it is recommended that you submit it in October in order to benefit from the reduced fee.

If an application has not yet reached payment stage it can be cancelled and can be resubmitted after 1st October. If payment has already been processed for an application it cannot be refunded as significant work to process it will have already been completed. http://bit.ly/2lPAkup
