This is an 180z type two hybrid jacket that we made for Alex, we invited him to our private cut-and-sew studio to make the finishing touches, installing buttons he picked from our selection of high quality Japanese made hardwear and adding the bar tackes at points of tension

The jacket was lovely made and will age and become more beautiful with wear

His distinctive hand drawn pencil drawings finished digitally with colours that are reminiscent of the 8-bit video games he grew up with are incredibly eye catching and conjure up many nostalgic feelings when viewing them.

Maryrose is a textile artist, craftswoman and visible mending advocate bringing new life to worn garments through thoughtful, creative repair.

A graduate of Chelsea School of Art, where she studied textile design, Maryrose’s innovative and award winning art work is held in both public and private collections, and has featured in Selvedge magazine.

Maryrose uses her artists aesthetic and exacting technical skills to reinvent and revive, supporting the sustainable, slow fashion community.

“With every wear, a garment begins to tell its story—softened seams, thinning fabric, and threadbare patches become the poetry of use. I see these signs of age not as endings, but invitations, part of an evolving identity, mapping the rhythms of life in cloth and thread.”
