What you once wished for…
I saw a question the other day that stopped me in my tracks:
“What do you have in your life now that you once wished for?”
In a world that’s always pushing us toward the next thing, the next goal, the next upgrade, the next version of ourselves…. it’s wild how rarely we pause to notice the things we used to dream about… the things we thought would finally make us happy.
And it made me wonder…
If you have some of those things now…
are you actually happier?
Or have you already moved the goalposts and started wishing for the next thing?
Buddhist philosophy has been saying this for centuries, and the Dalai Lama echoes it beautifully: when we practice contentment, the endless wanting quiets, and happiness becomes possible.
Not because life is perfect, but because we finally notice what’s already here that we should be truly grateful for.
So maybe today, instead of asking “What’s next?”, ask:
“What did past‑me long for… that present‑me gets to hold?”
That’s where the real joy lives.
That’s where the gratitude sneaks in.
That’s where you realise you’re already standing in a life you once hoped for ❤️

WHEN THE THING FEELS TOO BIG…
Sometimes life hands you an idea, a dream, or a challenge that feels… well… wildly oversized.
My dog picked up stick that’s clearly meant for a taller, bigger dog, or with significantly better upper‑body strength & she loved it!
But here’s the thing:
If it landed in your hands, it’s yours to at least try.
Because courage isn’t about waiting until something feels manageable.
It’s about saying, “Alright then… let’s see what happens,” and taking the first wobbly step anyway.
Ideas, opportunities, and moments of magic don’t need you to be ready.
They just need you to be willing.
So if something feels too big today
pick it up.
Drag it awkwardly.
Look a bit ridiculous.
Laugh at yourself.
And keep going.
You might surprise yourself with what you can carry!

I’ve heard such incredible things about this festival — it feels like one of those really special, back-to-nature, slow-down-and-breathe kind of spaces… and I’m so happy to be a part of it this year.
I’ll be bringing somatic yoga and gentle, expressive movement into the heart of the wild — think intuitive movement, softening, shaking off stress, and reconnecting with your body in a way that actually feels good. All surrounded by trees, fire, and fresh air 🌲✨
I’ll also be running kids yoga and craft sessions — giving them space to move, play, create, and use their imaginations. .uk
And I’m not doing it alone — I’ll be alongside some seriously talented, lovely humans in the wellness space, which makes it even more special. It’s going to be such a beautiful mix of energy.
