Hello lovelies.

It’s weird September time.

Maybe you’re exhausted from having the kids all summer

Maybe your kids have just gone back to school and you really miss them although they were doing your nut in

Maybe you’re actually ready for some routine again. Gasp.

Maybe you you’ve only just started working out what day it is.

Maybe you need to shake off summer partying, festivals, and the general ‘f**k it, it’s summer’.

Or maybe you feel fantastic! (Go you!)

Whatever the internal weather, yoga, movement and gentle community await! Wrapped up in the package of yoga classes.

Here to help you ground, soothe, cry, sigh, remember your name.

Last few spaces for courses starting next week.

Release & Align is back too. A deeper reset where we shake, move, breathe, shout ‘ffs’ until we remember that it’s safe to be this beautifully whole, messy, complex human.

Often though, the most important thing is to pause. This cat gets it. She knows how to pause. Paws. Pause. Tenuous link to photo success.

Hope to see you!

Tuesday open level 10.15 *2 spaces

Last night I dreamt that my brother and I quit our jobs, and started our own business making sticky toffee pudding. We worked very hard and in the course of one night became quite successful.

Anyhoo, here I am back in the studio today, actually really quite grateful for being in a room (no desert 😓) where we gradually co-regulate together. There’s a distinct shift in everyone; we look and feel different from the version of us who walked in the studio. We’re softer in our faces, calmer in our nervous system, stronger in our sense of self.

I had the pleasure of being with Charlotte Watts this Saturday, being on the receiving end of someone holding a space for me to regulate.

Having begun to face the arsenal fans in Finsbury Park for their parade party thingy, it was a feckin delight to lie down and observe my nervous system slowly settle from ‘fuuuuuck fuuuuuuuck sh****ng hell fuuuuuuck’ to ‘ok, I can breathe again, ooh! I have legs!’ To ‘…… (bliss, joy, expansion) …… ‘

ONCE I’d settled I could move playfully, with joy, with strength, with ease, with PLEASURE. (Ooh hello word that doesn’t get associated much with yoga).

Apparently we regulate more effectively in groups. Which makes sense, as we’re kind of pack animals, but I still liked learning that.

If you’d like to calm the f down (from whatever is your version of the arsenal parade) in a lovely room with other people, we’re back in the studio this week with a host of yoga delights - somatic yoga, with seasonal awareness and the invitation to be with your body, as it is. No sticky toffee pudding. Sorry about that.

These are all courses, except for Wednesday 6pm which has a drop in option. All at Happy Om Norwich

RETREATS = REALITY. This week marks 20 years of teaching! Whoop! There are always twists and turns, and I never quite know what is going to 'work'.

I love creating. Creating meaningful experiences. I can create the most magical things, but if they don't sell, they don't happen. That's the reality of this 'business'.

I've just had to cancel the Montenegro retreat due to low numbers. I was so excited - we were so excited. I can put so much care, energy, thought and love into something - that when it doesn;t maifest its disappoitning for everyone.

However, I'm also reallu good at rewriting. So I'm rewriting now - what happens next, what can I create, and crucially, what do YOU WANT?

Would you like an early December Norfolk retreat? Cornwall in the springtime? Message me, comment, reach out - when I get enough 'yays' I can make magic happen (and retreats really are where the magic happens)

Valencia is going ahead in October . . . its a deep dive into somatic, holosomatic, shamanic practoses. Oh it's juicy. Then we deep dive into tapas. 3 places left.

Midweek medicine (without having to be “good” at yoga) 🤍

This class used to be called “advanced”… which never quite felt right.
Yes — many people who come have years of practice.
But what makes it work isn’t experience…
it’s a willingness to listen to your body (on any given day).
Some weeks we move more.
Some weeks we do melty puddle on the floor.
Sometimes things feel strong and spacious, sometimes it’s just about showing up and exhaling.
There’s no fixed plan —
I shape each session around who’s in the room, drawing on somatics, yoga therapy, and a bit of seasonal awareness.
It’s supportive, adaptable, and (thankfully) not too serious.

✨ A few spaces left on the Wednesday 6pm session
✨ Other classes nearly full (1–3 spaces left)
✨ One now fully booked

If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit into typical yoga classes —
you might feel at home here.
Based in our little Norwich studio 🤍

Did you know . . . Wednesday evenings are now open-level somatic yoga?

As always, what I share is inspired by what feels most true to me, and what resonates most with those of you who come along. A 'somatic' approach is about finding ease and flow within postures, rather than creating a fixed or static form. This is much nicer for most of our bodies, as we truly tune into what FEELS RIGHT rather than me telling you what position your body is 'supposed' to be in. It's exploratory, it's tuned-in, it's curious, it's playful.

Sometimes its soothing and laying and we roll around (we phrased the term 'melty puddle') and it can also be strong with standing postures that challenge balance and whole body 'toning'.

Wednesdays, 6-7.30pm at Happy Om. Some drop-ins available.

Disclaimer: photo purely for attention

I’m soooo not ready for intentions and resolutions. But I’m definitely ready to be with myself in my practice. Listening, observing, and being kind to myself.

Classes restart on Tuesday (tomorrow! Whoop!). There are a couple of places left on courses. Wednesday evening is now an open-level somatic yoga class, with a mix of deeply soothing and strengthening work. All Happy Om Yoga Studio

As usual, rock up as you are: tired , elated, full of hope, full of food, inspired, anxious, ‘I haven’t done any yoga for ages’. All welcome.
