✏️ As part of their AFRICAN topic this term, the children learned about the vast continent, rich with a diversity of people, countries, culture, earth saving climate rainforests, traditions, music and sequences from West and South Africa.

I had the most gorgeous day teaching Samba from Brazil from Nursery age, all the way to year 6 at Cantrell Primary School at the end of June as part of their 🎉 CARNIVAL 🎉 event on Friday 11th July!!

Each year group learnt the same routine (with variations) as part of a whole school performance

The children were indeed

A warm welcome to GLOBAL DANCE 🙋🏾‍♀️

Year one Pupils at SOUTHWARK SCHOOL in Basford, Nottingham last week enjoyed a workshop about Rio de Janeiro 🎉

They learned about the cultural heritage & education, the language they speak in Brazil, SAMBA & CARNIVAL and sequences and rhythms using music fresh out of Rio!!

Pupils laughed, sang, got out of breath, shared and learnt culture and embraced differences positively
