☘️A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME & MY SWIM SCHOOL JOURNEY ☘️
I’m Sinéad the founder of Shamrock Swim School, which I established in February 2024 with a passion for helping swimmers of all ages and abilities develop confidence, water safety skills and a love of swimming.

I started Shamrock Swim School at Annesley Primary School, initially offering Adult & Child and Preschool swimming lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays. As the school grew and demand for lessons increased, I expanded the timetable to include Thursdays in January 2025.

In May 2025, I introduced Saturday lessons, allowing me to welcome more independent school-age swimmers and support children working up to Stage 3. It was exciting to see Shamrock Swim School continue to grow and reach more families within the local community.

In September 2026, approx 20 of my preschool swimmers moved to full time school leading me to add Friday lessons to provide greater flexibility and accommodate more swimmers as the demand for independent swimming lessons increased

September 2026 has also been a particularly exciting milestone for me, as I have expanded Shamrock Swim School to a second venue at Ashfield School. This new venue allows me to extend the range of lessons I offer and support swimmers working from Stage 4 through to Stage 7.

What started as a small swim school in 2024 has grown considerably in just a few years, and I’m incredibly proud of how far Shamrock Swim School has come. My aim is to continue providing high-quality, friendly and supportive swimming lessons where every swimmer feels comfortable, encouraged and able to progress at their own pace.

I’m very grateful to all the families who have supported Shamrock Swim School and trusted me with their swimming journey so far. I’m excited to see what the future holds!

We want the Government to remove VAT from all children’s swimming lessons to keep them affordable and accessible. We believe swimming is a vital life-saving skill, not a luxury, and high costs can prevent many children from learning to swim safely.
