The ladies played some great stuff at the Sixfields Stadium today, going unbeaten all day but losing on penalties in the final. Well done all. Played 5 games, 4 wins, 1 draw, scored 14 and conceded only 1. Goalscorers Pritchard x9, Rowley x2, Page, Helliker and Odam.

Huge congratulations to our women’s over 60s who won the first ever Glasgow Trophy for their age group. Managed by 40s captain Danielle Pritchard they played some great football and were well deserved champions.
Our over 50s were there again to defend their title from last year. Unfortunately they had to settle for runners up this year. A great team effort but Braehead just edged it in the final.
The 40s just missed out on getting to the knockout stages, some dubious decisions went against them but that’s football.
Well done to all three teams

What a fantastic day for the ladies over 40s at the Birmingham tournament yesterday! Not a single goal conceded and crowned tournament winners-brilliant effort all round. Well done, everyone!

Our 60’s Forest Vets/Unity played in the Workshop Tournament today. We won every game in our league without conceding a goal. We won our quarter final game again without conceding. We then won our semi final 2-1 to a decent Wakefield side. Unfortunately we lost 2-1 to Matlock A in the final. The final was also a very close game and could have gone either way. Some very dubious decisions from the referee but we held our heads high and played well. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be on the day. Well done to all involved.
