Lions vs Coventrians

Today we welcomed Coventrians over to Hilltop. We knew it would be a close game between the 2 sides.

We started off playing some lovely composed football and then springing forward at the right times beating the offside trap numerous times. The lads recognised they had a lot of space in behind and kept exposing the oppositions defence, with a bit more clinical finishing we could have put the game out of reach in the 1st half.

Second half was more of the same with us continually finding the space behind their backline. At times we left ourselves open in the middle to let them break through but overall a really good team performance. 👏

With Logan not able to play because of his injury we asked Kye to fill in at LB. I think he had one of his best ever games there. He was calm & composed with the ball and very strong in his tackles well done mate 👏👏
