Trust the process... Goal Setting π
I set myself a goal back in March following the Burghley 7 to run a half marathon. 7 miles was the furthest I had run but it felt good.
So I asked my Garmin UK & Ireland watch to help me with my training and it designed a 16 week plan to get me running a half marathon. The plan was to run 4 times a week with a mixture of runs to get me to my target, I had to learn to trust the process and slow down on easy runs when they felt too slow.
Well today the hard work has paid off, I wanted to run a half marathon 13.1 miles (21.10km) in 2:20:00
Today I achieved the Phoenix Running Cambridgeshire Wolly Winka half marathon in 2:20:22. So proud of myself and for pushing through to achieve what in January seemed totally unrealistic. It's shown me what my body can physically and mentally do and how strong it is. I've had 3 children and started to run in my 40s and just completed a half marathon π€―
Of course I represented KYLOE IN THE WILD the whole way and my hat was a life saver as it was a super midge filled course- let's say I ate lots of extra protein on my way round π also fuelled by Precision Fuel & Hydration

This time next week I will have completed my first ever half marathon race!
Two more runs before race day and I have put in the kilometres over the past few months. I have really enjoyed being disciplined to achieve a goal, and having time for myself to just run.
Things I have used to help me;
πMy trainers have already put in the kilometres.

Learn with the teacher in the water in a supportive and encouraging way to teach you how to swim. Whilst growing your confidence and learning the mechanics of swimming.

3 years old already and it doesn't seem that long ago that I was jumping around poolside with you in my pregnancy bump!
Happy Birthday to the coolest 3 year old, if you have ever been PT'd by us both you know he is my little assistant PT in the making ~ stretching clients and joining in with the exercises.
