We are running some NACC kids MTB sessions with Nevis Range Bike School this Autumn.

There are spaces on Sunday 27th Sept for the 13:00-15:30 half day session costing £12/kid with more dates yet to be confirmed.

We are able to run different groups for different skill/age levels. Whether they are competent to ride to blue runs confidently or just starting with tackling the lower skills area. If there is enough interest we can also run some more advanced sessions too.

Kids need a fully functioning mtb, suitable for off-road trails. They must wear a well fitting helmet and gloves. They need a backpack with snack and water with them too.

Sessions are open to current club members and are part subsidised by the funding we received from the Scottish Cycling Youth Opportunities Fund.

There is also some interest from some bike kids parents for some basic mtb skills confidence building session. If you think you would benefit from some coaching to help keep up with the kids then get in touch.

Please contact Shane on [email protected] to discuss or book a space.

Big thanks to Cycle Wild Scotland for making the trip out west to deliver Mountain Bike Leadership training for 6 candidates this weekend.

We spent some time in the classroom learning top tips on mechanical fixes, inspecting kit, and of course some time out on the bikes practicing leadership on a variety of terrain ⛰️🌲🌳

We all had a great time and learned new things 🚲 ❤️ Candidate assessments will take place later in the year once everyone completes log books of their rides, and gets their trail-side bike fixing skills super slick 👌

Having more British Cycling Trail Leader qualified volunteers will help expand the number of organised mountain biking opportunities and events in the area, which are in high demand.

This training would not have been possible without financial support from The Oban Sportive, Argyll and Bute Council’s Oban Common Good Fund, Ardchattan Community Council, and Scottish Sea Farms Ltd. Thank you! 🤩🚲
