Moorside u10’s player of the month for September.

Jack

This lad came training for us just before the season was about to start and he settled very quickly as if he had been with us for years.

I could see he was a good player in training and he shown me even more in the games we played in September. His performances have been really good for us and helped settle us in defence and has the confidence to play at the back on his own. Great addition to the squad and a cracking lad to coach.

U10’s played this morning and lost as we simply wasn’t at it today compared to last week.

A lot of it comes down to how much the lads want it as individuals and maintaining a high level of work rate. If we are not playing the best we just have to work hard and the football will come.

I tried to change it a lot today to keep the lads fresh and push for the goals in the second half and it didn’t work but I had to try something.

When we actually started to play today we played some very good football what we have been working on in training. It’s just doing it all the time but like I say we will get it right we are only 4 games in and that’s without a preseason.
It’s not all bad as there still was some good performances from the lads we just have to do it as a team every week.

Man of the match: Archie. He was all over the pitch again today and constantly gave 100%. When we conceded I didn’t see his head drop and he was trying to win the ball back and get us up the pitch again. Well done Archie.

Disappointing result for the open age Saturday team on Saturday against a good side.

Not clinical enough, missed a couple of big chances, no excuses on the day the better side won.

Attention now turns to the league with the next fixture a week on Saturday, 17th October away vs Santos looking to continue the 100% start in the league.

Collyhurst vs Moorside Pumas LOSS

⚽️ Teddy
⚽️ Archie

A frustrating result for the lads today.

We started the game really well and found ourselves 2–0 up, playing some good football and looking confident. Overall, I honestly felt we were the better team for large parts of the game, but unfortunately we didn’t get the result our performance deserved.

The game became quite scrappy, with a lot being allowed to go, which understandably frustrated the lads and took their focus away from the football.

🏆 MOTM 1 – TEDDY

Teddy worked his absolute socks off today! Up and down that pitch, winning the ball, getting us going and putting in a brilliant defensive shift too. 👏

🏆 MOTM 2 – ZAC

Zac made some brilliant saves today and did really well coming off his line when needed. He had a really good game and showed great confidence.

Moorside u10 played a great game today showing everyone just how good they are as a team and coming away with a great win against a strong Stockport side.
After a fast start going a goal up we then conceded just going into half time. After a quick change of formation the boys came out the second half playing some good football and scoring some even better goal.
Massive difference from the first game three weeks ago to now and this is the level they have to maintain.
I feel like I say it every week but today a lot of the lads could have come away with man of the match awards so well done to everyone of them as they all worked so hard.

Parents man of the match: Riley, this lad did not stop running today and was equally as good on the ball. He went up front to get his goal and get us back in the lead and then slotted perfectly into midfield. Great all round game.

Man of the match: Arlo, again this lad didn’t stop running today and was a handful for the opposition when attacking. Even the reff game him man of the match which shows how good he was today.

Goals: Oliver, Riley, Leo, arlo(own goal) 👀

Assists: Oliver, Arlo 2
