Wow what a busy weekend I’ve had… pretty surreal! 🤩

Sponsored PenyBontFawr show on Saturday and Radfords One Day Event on Sunday! Lovely to see lots of you enjoying the event and have a chat 😊

On Sunday afternoon I attended Krista’s Groundwork Day Camp at Berriewood Farm, I held my first ever talk about Equine Sports Massage, and demonstrating massage for horse owners. Everyone was so lovely and interactive it definitely put my nerves at bay ☺️

Can’t thank Krista enough for asking me, very grateful for the opportunity 🐴

Something I would of never of thought I’d be doing even a few months ago … public speaking has never been my forte, even in school but when it comes to horses and equine massage, I could talk all day 🤍

From banners, posters, vouchers and decorating treats, it was all happening at HQ on Saturday 🙌🏻

Looking forwards to Sunday, sponsoring Radfords Beginners ODE 🤩

Ever wondered what is Myofascial Cupping?

Cupping uses gentle suction to lift the skin and fascia, helping to encourage circulation and movement through the soft tissues

Myofascial cupping helps:
✅ Reduce muscle tension
✅ Supports circulation
✅ Improves tissue mobility
✅ Promotes relaxation and suppleness

Want to know if cupping could benefit your horse? Feel free to pop me a message - 07484 788403 📩

🍂 SEPTEMBER DIARY IS NOW OPEN! 🍂

As we head into September, competition season is still in full swing for many of you, while others may be starting to reduce workload and prepare for the change in season 🐴

Now is a great time to check in with your horse and ask yourself:
✨ Has their workload changed recently?
🏆 Are you still out competing regularly?
🐴 Are they due a maintenance session?
🍂 Are they starting to transition into a different workload?

Regular bodywork can help support comfort, movement, performance and recovery, whatever level your horse is working at.

My September diary is already filling with regular clients, so if you’re looking to get booked in, now is the perfect time! 📩

Appointments available for:
• Maintenance sessions
• Performance support
• Pre & post competition
• Supporting horses through changes in workload

Thank you so much for everyone’s continued support of my small business — it means so much! 🥰🐴

Muscle Monday! 💪🏻

Next we have the Sternocephalicus, this muscle runs along the underside of the neck and inserts on to the border of the mandible 🦴
Closely associated with the poll and throatlatch area🐴

• Origin - Manubrium of the sternum
• Insertion - Caudal border of the mandible

The function: ⚙️
- Flexes the neck and lowers the head
- Assists with head and neck positioning and opening of the mouth

Key signs of tension: 🚨
- Resistance to contact or head tilting
Difficultly softening at the poll

Common causes of tension: ⚠️
- Restrictive tack or poor bridle fit
- High head and neck carriage

How to help: ✅
- Massage can help by releasing tension and encourage a softer feel in the contact
- Performing gentle massage and stretching to help soften the muscle

What is Equine Sports Massage? 🐴

Equine sports massage is a hands-on therapy that works with muscles and soft tissues to reduce tension, improve mobility, enhance performance, and support recovery ❤️‍🩹

I take an evidence-based approach, tailoring every treatment to the horse's individual needs ✨

Sports massage may benefit horses experiencing:
✅ Muscle tension or soreness
✅ Stress points and muscle fasciculations
✅ Reduced mobility or postural imbalance
✅ Preparation for training or competition
✅ Post-exercise recovery
✅ Injury rehabilitation (alongside veterinary guidance)
✅ Ongoing maintenance and performance support

Whether your horse is out and about competing, loves hacking or enjoys retired life, an equine sports massage can help them feel and perform their best 💪🏻
