Yoga with Katie
student-centred yoga classes for everyone
I teach in-person yoga and online classes in Oxford.
I also work one-to-one or in small groups, as well as corporate packages. I am currently teaching an online ZOOM gentle vinyasa yoga class once a week for anyone who would like to practice yoga together from wherever they are. I teach regularly at Sunshine Yoga Club, and cover classes for Everybody Studio and Prana Studio in Oxford. If you would like private or smaller group bookings then please do contact me to discuss options.
I don't remember which day it was, but here we are having fun and rocketing (I did get permission with my mat mates to film).
Rocket training was so much fun.

A slower deeper practice to help you land intp the end of the week. Yin yoga focuses on longer-held shapes that gently target the deep tissues of the body, inviting stillness, sensations and a different kimd of awareness.

A Pranayama (breath) & Yin workshop
Saturday 25th April, 2:30-5:00pm

An invitation to slow down and connect to a quieter practice.
This workshop is designed to help you create space to breathe with Pranayama (breathwork), move through a Yin Yoga sequence based on the element of water, and then invite deep rest with meditation into Savasana.
What to expect:
🌱Arrive, intention setting and opening meditation
🌱Pranayama (breathwork) practice designed to bring awareness to the breath, 🌱create space to breathe into and soothe the nervous system

Sequencing classes is something I really enjoy. I like to spend time thinking about how all the elements flow together. But that doesn't mean every class is brand new. Repeating sequences is never the same anyway, there are always little tweaks as I learn more, or the room is different, or the feeling of the class.
If you are new to teaching and worrying that you just repeated a class. I bet you it felt different and even though your plan was the same, it probanly flowed differently

A little glimpse into what retreat days might look like…
When I started imagining Tending the Inner Light, I knew I wanted the days to feel spacious, slow and nourishing, following a softer winter rhythm rather than a busy schedule.
Mornings will begin with a gentle yoga practice in the barn studio, slowly waking the body before gathering for a long, nourishing brunch.
The middle of the day is intentionally open.
Time to walk through the surrounding countryside, read by the fire, journal, rest, or soak in the sauna or wood-fired hot tub overlooking the valley.
As the afternoon light begins to fade, we’ll come together for a quiet pranayama practice, or wintering workshop, creating space to settle the mind and breath.
Evenings will be simple and cosy:
a wholesome vegetarian dinner shared together, followed by restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra to help the body fully unwind.
It’s not about doing more.
It’s about creating the space to do less.
To rest.
To breathe.
To reconnect.
