πŸ‰ U16 Bucks Girls Rugby Charity Tournament πŸ‰

A brilliant afternoon for our girls playing in the 10’s tournament. Combining with to form our squad the girls from both schools did themselves proud.

Game 1 Vs. Lord Williams School was a 20-0 victory for Wychwood and included a hatrick of tries for Pippa!

Game 2 Vs Buckingham School was a tighter contest. With two minutes to go and the scoreline level Ibby found the try line but it was unfortunately disallowed. Buckingham then capitalised on the last play of the game giving them the win. Final score 5-10 to Buckingham.

Game 3 Vs Wycombe High. Despite getting on the score sheet first a strong Wycombe side took the lead and we struggled to get past their defence. Final score 5-20 to Wycombe.

A brilliant afternoon of rugby was had and the girls should be incredibly proud of how they played. Well done to all who took part.

🌟 Sporting Success 🌟

Huge congratulations to sports scholar Harley who at 14 was selected to represent GB in the U16 Junior World Padel Championships in Spain.

The tournament marked the first time that the LTA had provided funding to support both boys’ and girls’ teams’ participation in overseas competition and was a proud moment for Harley to wear the GB shirt. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Despite topping their group with wins over Finland, Hungary and Switzerland, GB were unfortunately knocked out by the Netherlands in the qualifying semi- finals in what was a close match. The tournament was a brilliant experience for Harley and as the only UK based national in the U16 team we are incredibly proud and look forward to watching his talent in the sport develop.πŸ‘πŸ½

A second year , medalling at the rugby 7s, fielding our first mixed T1 7’s team, having all our rowers medal at the indoor rowing, competing at for the first time and raising over Β£2000 for as we rowed 82km from Henley to Oxford were particular highlights! What will next year bring?!
