Run Jericho

We are grateful to Christ Church College for their continued support of Run Jericho!

Christ Church College stands out for the beauty of its buildings and its welcoming atmosphere, as well as the depth of its history and distinguished research and teaching that goes on within its walls.

Christ Church College is a vibrant and diverse academic community where over six hundred undergraduate and graduate students explore a wide range of subjects. It is also home to Oxford’s Cathedral, which has its own world-famous choir, and the shrine of St Frideswide, Oxford’s patron saint. Plus, there might be some Harry Potter lore thrown in for good measure as well.

Feeling the rain today, we are doubly grateful that the one rain-free day in the forecast this week was on race day! Just cool and cloudy weather perfect for a run. We’ll have photos up in the gallery in a week or so to share with you and until then, you can enjoy some that I snapped with my trusty iPhone camera. Thank you to Mamma Mia Pizzeria for their continued support of Run Jericho! Our team enjoyed a post-race celebratory meal at their Jericho location this afternoon. The St Barnabas Pizza Wheel special runs (pun intended!) through June and for every pizza special ordered, £1 goes to Run Jericho! We can tell you that it is just as delicious as it looks!

Hanging signs with my little helpers again this year — and once again in the pouring rain! Happy to say that we beat last year’s sign-hanging time by one hour this year - setting our family PB 🙂 — AND that tomorrow’s weather forecast is clear of rain for the morning! 🤞 So, get a good night’s sleep and we’ll see you at the starting line!

One of the special things about Run Jericho is running through the beautiful grounds of Worcester College. A big thank you to Worcester College and Worcester College Gardener for opening your lovely sports grounds to us for the last 15 years of Run Jericho! Here we are setting up the race course yesterday and appreciating the excitement of the gardening team helping to pull it all together for Sunday!
