For those of us who have never tried yoga before, starting something new can be intimidating. I know I get anxious, and I've heard similar concerns from many others who are interested in starting their yoga journey. But why is it that so many of us feel this way? ๐ค
At Yogalina Wellness Centre, we've discovered that much of this anxiety stems from common misconceptions about yoga.

โญ๏ธ Perhaps the biggest misconception is that everyone in the class will be super-flexible, experienced, and already know what they're doing. While this may be true for some of our more advanced classes, the majority of our participants are of all ages and abilities. We have many clients who started practicing with us for the first time in their 50s, 60s, and even 70s, and they are both men and women! So, you'll never be the only one starting out on this journey, and it's always great to have others with whom you can share your experiences ๐

โญ๏ธ Another misconception is that coming into a new environment with strangers, doing something completely alien, will be awkward and uncomfortable. At Yogalina Wellness Centre, we make every effort to welcome you into our community and ensure you feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. Itโs been a whole year since I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a qualified Health Coach and I just can not believe where the time has gone! โฃ
It seems only a short time ago I decided to take on a new career path and go back to school and now here I am a year later building my wellness business! ๐๐ปโฃ

I am so thankful for the journey I have taken. Yes, it has been unbearably scary at times and I have questioned myself and if I was capable of doing this on almost a daily basis! ๐โฃ
โฃ
But I wouldnโt change it for the world! The growth I have experienced on a personal level as well as a business level is just mind blowing to me! To look back at where I was a year ago and see where I am now is a very much needed reminder that I can do anything I want to, achieve anything I want to achieve providing I work towards my goals and do not allow fear and my ego to tell me I am not good enough or Iโm going to fail! โฃ
Yes, there have been failures, but that is the beauty of life. If you fall down, you get straight back up and try again! โฃ
