Every Saturday and Sunday morning, they appear… like a secret club armed with brews, banter, and baffling tactical advice. Who are they? The Grassroots Dads.

You might recognise a few of these classics:

😂 The Sideline Manager – knows more than Guardiola (just ask him).
☕ The Coffee Warrior – survives on a pint of latte and sheer willpower.
🧢 The Goalpost Carrier – spends more time lugging equipment than his kid spends on the pitch.
🍩 The Snack Dealer – pockets full of crisps, biscuits, and the occasional mystery sweet.
📣 The Shouter – never loses his voice, no matter how many “MAN ON!” warnings he gives.
😎 The Chill One – sunglasses on, arms folded, just happy to be out of the house.

Grassroots dads might not always agree on tactics, but there’s one thing they do agree on: supporting the kids and keeping the game fun.
