Penarth Ladies Netball (Vets)

We've been playing in a local league run by BLOOM Netball. Last night was the end of the winter season and we played against the top of the league team, Shot Happens. The game was really close all the way through, as it was the last time we played them. This time though, luck was on our side and we managed to score the winning goal in the last few seconds. Well done to all those who played over the last 10 weeks and congratulations to Shot Happens for winning 👏.

Over 40, used to love playing netball but feel you can't pick it up again now as everyone will be younger! Why not come along to the Penarth Ladies Vets. The club has been going for nearly 14 years. A lovely group of ladies who will help you find your netball feet again. 7-8pm £4 at Pen-y- Garth school.

Just a reminder that we're holding a 'taster' session at Pen y Garth school, 7pm on 14th January. Invite is open to women over 40. Don't worry if you haven't played since school it will all come back to you, like riding a bike!

The club will be holding a taster session on Tuesday 14th January for ladies to come along to see if they think joining a netball club (for over 40s) may be something they would like to do. There are 5 spaces available. Please message me if you're interested via messenger.

Thanks to Pendragons for inviting a couple of us to play for them last night. It was a tight match against a team of young players (we were old enough to be their grandmothers!). Pendragons were leading all the way until the last few minutes when a couple of mistakes cost the game - 26-27.

Very exciting 2nd quarter Wales v Uganda. Wales came back from a 7 goal deficit to within 1 goal.

To anyone stumbling onto this page who is interested in joining a club for women over 40 playing netball, we are still going. 7-8pm Tuesdays at Pen y Garth School Penarth. Although it may be 7.10pm start when the little netballers return next week! £4 per session.
