Castletown JFC U9’s - U16’s

Everyone at Castletown Juniors FC was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Penrith AFC Chairman, Brian “Billy” Williams.

Billy was a highly respected figure within the local football community, whose passion, commitment and tireless dedication to the game touched so many. His outstanding contribution to Penrith AFC and grassroots football will be remembered for many years to come.

Our heartfelt condolences go to Cath, Billy’s family, friends, and everyone connected with Penrith AFC at this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are with you all as you remember and celebrate his life.

Rest in peace, Billy.

Castletown Jets U14s Celebrated a great victory at the Appleby Tournament today.

After a slow start with no training recently the confidence and intensity picked up and improved as we progressed to the Quarter final winning 1-0 against a tough Kirkby Yanited side. On to the Semi-final against Kingstown FC which went all the way to pens. Where some incredible saves and calm finishes in small goals meant we progressed to the final against Seaton FC. Tough game again but our pressing an ball recovery coupled with tenacity and some great football enabled us to nick it 1 - 0.

It was a great day and so nice for it to end with some silverware it wasn't expected and wouldn't have mattered had we not won. But to take on some quality county wide teams and come out on top was a nice touch.

Most of these lads have been together since U7s and Castletown with 2 years of junior football to go they couldn't have a tighter nit group and were looking forward to the season ahead.
