Getting the teens racing this morning

1st time doing a kettlebell workout with my mate and all with an injury. From tearing my tendon in my shoulder it has caused me lots of stress/pain and when we started this workout I instantly wanted to pick up 10kg knowing in the past that'll be a reasonable weight. I'll do this workout once a week, going from 4kg, 6kg, 7kg, 8kg and have only just got to 10kg in each hand this Monday.
Thats 10 months work to get to where I would normally of started, yes I'm feeling abit frustrated but sometimes you have to listen to your body and not push yourself as if I pushed for more I'd definitely be going backwards with even more injuries.
We all have fitness goals but I think we all forget that things take time to build and you wanting that good summer body is a choice you make everyday with fitness from staying consistent with training and dieting.
Set your goals, remember your goals, work for your goals but listen to your body. One day you will feel stronger, one day you will feel weaker. Life gets in the way of our goals all the time but keep true to yourself and prove that you can do it 💪

Im not a coach that just teaches attacking to make you feel good, Im that coach that teaches you how to look after yourself with defence
Im forever hearing I'll come down and start training but the pub sounds better, until its too late. Recently had a close mate of mine get jumped and if only he knew some fundamentals on how to look after himself like how to use his arms to protect his head then he probably wouldn't of came out looking so bad
Is it better to hope you dont get in a situation or is it better knowing what to do if something happens ?
Ever since ive learnt martial arts the confidence ive got it from it and helped me loads and even getting close to bad situations I have used my feet to keep balance and distance and have used spacial awareness like what you practice in a ring so you dont get backed in a corner
