⚽️ Flamingo Land Football Festival ⚽️
What a brilliant weekend at the Flamingo Land Resort Football Festival!
Massive credit to all the players who represented the club with pride, determination and great team spirit throughout the tournament. The football on display was outstanding and the lads gave everything in every game.
Day 1
seen the lads play x4 30 minute games, all tight games to be fair but just felt we weren’t getting to rub of green seen us end the day bottom, this was definitely not a reflection of how the lads played.
Grangetown boysie 2-1 East dutham
Harton and westoe Tigers 1-0 East Durham FC
East Durham 4 - 1 Brooklyn
Killingworth blues 1-0 East Durham
Day 2
With one group game to play vs top of the group we knew it would be a tough test but credit the lads they were the better team but again if you don’t put your chances away you get punished.
East durham fc 0-2 workington juniors greys.
We then went into the semi finals of our group and seen us comfortably beat a decent Saltburn team
Saltburn 0 east Durham 3
The final was set vs a team we played in a friendly 2 weeks prior, the lads were outstanding with wave after wave of attacks you just knew they wanted it more and to be fair they deserved it after nearly 4 hours of football over the 2 days they won the game to claim the trophy and everyone who was there at the final whistle will confirm you would like they lost by there reaction.
East Durham 1 - 0 velocity
Shout out to Loui for picking up player of the tournament 👏👏👏👏
Plenty of memories made on and off the pitch, with lots of laughs, great football and a fantastic atmosphere all weekend. These experiences are what grassroots football is all about.
The presentation evening was a fantastic experience for the lads, being in that environment and able to lift the trophy in front of a few hundred people will be remembered for a long time.
As the coach of this team I would like too say a huge thank you to all the parents, supporters and organisers for making it such a special trip, doing these previously myself I knew how special it would be and seeing the lads enjoy there time away just makes everything feel that much more special.
Proud of every single player 👏⚽️🦩

End Of Season Result
East Durham 1 - 0 Washington Lazio
A perfect way to finish the season with a hard fought 1-0 win, we thought it was a good idea prior to the game for the lads to pick there positions from a lucky dip, we had strikers playing right back, the keeper playing centre back and defenders playing on the wing, it was a bit fun to end the season on a high.
The game had everything you’d expect from an end of season fixture, tired legs, big tackles and plenty of determination from both sides. Credit to the opposition who made it difficult throughout, but the lads stayed disciplined and kept battling until the final whistle.
First half was a tight affair with chances at both ends, but our makeshift defence stood strong and dealt with everything thrown at them. Going forward we looked dangerous on the counter and finally got the breakthrough with a well worked goal seen Jasper with a tidy finish with the outside of boot, keeper had no chance.
Second half was all about character. The lads had to dig deep, defend together and show the fighting spirit that’s been there all season. The back line were outstanding, winning headers, blocking shots and protecting the lead right until the end.
MOTM - Lucas, normally plays in defence but picked out goalkeeper for the day and did a cracking job to be fair and kept a clean sheet.
Massive credit to every player this season for the effort, commitment and attitude shown week in week out. Thank you to everyone who has supported the team throughout the year — players, coaches, parents and supporters.
A brilliant way to end the season. ⚽👏

🏆 Game of tournaments May Day Silver Cup Winners! 🏆
What a day. What a team. What a performance.
After rocky start we thought its not going to be our day,
The lads needed to reset and put everything into the last 2 games to qualify, and they did that and some,
Every player put in a shift in today but the turning point was Keigan, he found something that for the opposition he was unplayable at times, battled for every ball, and the team fully deserved to lift the May Day Silver Cup.
From the first whistle to the last, it was a proper team performance. Solid at the back, composed in midfield, and clinical going forward – exactly what finals are all about.
Feels like the lads needed this today after coming so close in the previous tournament so it was great to see them so happy.
Massive credit to everyone involved – players, coaches, and supporters who got behind the team all the way 👏
A proud moment for the club… and one we’ll remember for a long time.
🏆 Champions.

Full Time: East Durham 8 – 0 Jarrow Saint-Germain
A dominant performance from start to finish saw the lads run out comfortable 8–0 winners in what was a complete team display.
From the first whistle, the intensity was clear. We moved the ball quickly, pressed high, and never allowed the opposition to settle. The early pressure paid off with a well-worked opening goal, setting the tone for the rest of the game.
Once we got into our rhythm, the chances kept coming. Clinical finishing in front of goal and some excellent build-up play meant we went into halftime with a commanding lead.
The second half was more of the same—disciplined at the back, sharp in midfield, and ruthless going forward. The lads kept their standards high, showing no signs of slowing down and continuing to create and convert chances.
Defensively, it was just as impressive, with a solid shape and concentration throughout securing a well-deserved clean sheet.
An all-round top performance with great teamwork, work rate, and quality on display. A result that reflects the effort being put in and one to build on going forward.

MOTM - Tobie, did a lot in 2nd half, setting up 2 goals and grabbing one himself, well deserved 👏

FT: Durham FC Pumas 0 - 2 East Durham
The push for promotion is well and truly on 💪
We knew coming into this game against a strong Durham side that it would be a tough test. The first 15 minutes saw us under real pressure, struggling to get out of our own half—but massive credit to the defence who were outstanding throughout. They cleared their lines, held their shape, and did all the simple things right.
Our captain stepped up when it mattered most, grabbing both goals—each coming from crosses. These are exactly the moments we’ve been working on in training, so it’s brilliant to see that hard work paying off on match day.
Tactical tweaks to the formation helped us see the game out and proved to be a key factor in securing the win.
With just three games to go, a couple more wins could see us finish 3rd—an incredible way to cap off what’s already been a fantastic season.
MOTM: Loui (C) 👏
One of his best performances in an East Durham shirt—clinical in front of goal and fearless in defence to help secure the clean sheet.
Special mention to James as well—rock solid at the back once again. Mr reliable.
Next up: Home game vs Hartlepool Gretton. Let’s keep it going 🔥

🏆 Game of tournaments Easter cup🏆
A massive effort from the lads today as we finish Runners-Up in the Gold Cup 👏⚽️
Proud doesn’t even cover it — the team showed quality, determination, and togetherness throughout the tournament. We fell just short in the final on penalties, but the commitment and performances across the games were top class.
Plenty to build on, and we go again 💪
Thank you to everyone who came down to support — it means everything 🙌

FULL TIME ⚽
East Durham 1 - 1 Washington NSG Cobras
A game of chances not taken on a tough, blustery day up on the Low Hills 🌬️
The message before kick-off was clear — match the intensity we show in training and bring it onto the pitch. Unfortunately, we never really got going and struggled to find our rhythm throughout. The conditions played a big part, but we knew we had to keep it on the deck and move the ball quicker.
It was a scrappy game from the start and always looked like it could go either way. Oscar got us ahead with a back post tap-in, but Washington hit back soon after.
We tried different ways to break them down, but it just wasn’t to be. We’ll take the point and move forward.
No league game now until April 18th, but we’ve got an Easter tournament and a friendly lined up to keep the momentum going 💪
MOTM 🏆
Loui – a true captain’s performance. Led by example, galvanised the lads, and put in a proper shift 👏

⚽️ Match Report ⚽️
East Durham 3 – 4 Willington Stripes
A fantastic game for the neutrals today in a contest that could have gone either way!
Willington started strongly, dominating possession and taking an early lead. However, their advantage didn’t last long after a cracking own goal brought things level. Despite that setback, the first half was largely controlled by Willington, who pushed on to extend their lead to 1–4.
The second half told a completely different story. East Durham came out fired up and ready for the fight—you could feel the momentum shifting. Goals from Tjay and Coby brought it back to 3–4 and set up a tense finale.
The last 15 minutes were relentless, with wave after wave of pressure, and we were incredibly unlucky not to find an equaliser.
Credit to Willington—they’re a cracking side, and we wish them all the best in their push for the league title.
As for East Durham, this performance showed exactly what happens when the lads put the graft in. We stay humble, keep working, and continue progressing week by week. As a coach, I couldn’t be prouder of them.
⭐️ Man of the Match: Coby
An outstanding performance—full of energy, constantly causing problems, never complaining, and showing real class and professionalism.
➡️ Next up: another home game vs Washington NSG Cobra.

East Durham 4 – 2 Herrington FC ⚽️
A similar story to last week – a slow start and conceding early doors, but it seemed to be the wake-up call we needed.
Once the lads found their rhythm, they really started to go through the gears and transition brilliantly. Coby was a real handful today and got us level not long after Herrington opened the scoring. T-Jay proved to be a proper number 9, being in the right place at the right time to make it 2-1, before grabbing another just before half time to make it 3-1 at the break.
In the second half we stayed on top, but we knew Herrington could still cause problems so the lads had to stay switched on. Loui produced a great half-volley to put the game out of sight. Herrington did pull one back late on, but it finished 4-2.
When we play football the way we can, we are a very good side. At times we can be our own worst enemy with a few positional errors and looking a bit disjointed, but we’ll take the win and move on.
MOTM – T-Jay ⭐️
He’s been unlucky not to pick this up a few times recently, but today it’s his. Constant graft, working hard for the team and taking his two goals well.
Another debut today as Riley came on at half time – looks like he’ll be a great addition to the squad.
Next week we host Richmond Pro Player.
