Match Review!!
We took on Newton Aycliffe Blacks in a 10am kick off away today.
That was a much better reaction from the team.
Apart from the last 8 mins or so, in the first half, we were the better team. We were dealing "ok" with the long balls. And took the lead through Hayden. I told him, im taking credit for it, as I told him to go in 😂.
Went into the break 2 - 1 down.
Just told them to keep doing the same, and the goals would come.
Zach Brown with a great strike, after Jacob was fouled, the ref waved advantage. (Only good thing he done today). And Zach buried it
Conceded a scruffy 3rd goal, ball rolled along the edge of Hazzas line, was ultimately tipped in.
Then we 100% shouldve had a penalty. No questions or doubts in my mind.
We then equalised when James Malkin got on the end of a corner, to make it 3 - 3.
There was so much fight in the team today. Every ball they werent letting go easy.
We do have the 2 smallest centre midfielders in the league by some stretch. But my god have we got the hardest working in OB and Zach. They put some graft in.
Very happy with a point away today.
Well done everyone!
Also I need to give Hazza a massive shoutout. Some very vital saves to keep us in the game. Commanded his box excellently.
