FIND YOUR TRIBE 💚

Watching dogs together always makes me smile.

They don’t worry about age, background, what someone does for a living or whether they have anything in common on paper.

They just know when they’ve found someone they want to run alongside. 🐾

Maybe there’s something we can learn from that.
As we get older, I think we realise it’s not about having lots of people around us.
It’s about having the right people.
The ones who check in.
The ones who listen.
The ones you can laugh with.
The ones who encourage you.
The ones you can completely be yourself around.
Because connection is part of our wellbeing too. 🌿

And sometimes your tribe isn’t made up of the people you’ve known the longest.
New connections can arrive at exactly the right stage of our lives.

So today I’m curious…
💭 What’s the ONE quality you value most in a friendship?

For me, it’s being able to completely be myself around someone.

What’s yours? 👇

BREAKFAST OR INTERMITTENT FASTING, WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON? ⏰🥣

Earlier this week I asked whether breakfast really is “the most important meal of the day.”

So here’s my confession...

Most mornings, I don’t eat it.
I regularly practise intermittent fasting, and it works well for me.
Since introducing it into my lifestyle, I’ve lost weight and found it easier to maintain my weight. But one of the things that surprised me most was my energy.

I exercise regularly in the morning without having breakfast first, and personally I often feel energised rather than depleted.

But here’s where my health-coach hat comes on...
My experience doesn’t mean everyone should skip breakfast.

Research into time-restricted eating, one form of intermittent fasting, suggests it can lead to modest reductions in body weight, BMI, waist circumference and body fat, with possible improvements in some metabolic markers.

And what about exercising while fasted?

A recent systematic review found that intermittent fasting combined with exercise did not significantly impair most measures of physical performance studied. However, earlier research has also found that eating beforehand can improve prolonged aerobic exercise performance. In other words, there isn’t one rule that suits everybody, the type and intensity of exercise matter too.
So rather than arguing:
🥣 Breakfast is best!
versus
⏰ Fasting is best!
I’d rather ask:
What works for YOUR body, lifestyle and health goals?

Nutrition shouldn’t be about blindly following rules. It’s about understanding your body, nourishing it properly and finding a sustainable approach that works for you.

And that’s exactly the sort of conversation we want to have at our Wellness Breakfast Club, movement, nutrition, mindset, education and community... without telling everyone they have to live exactly the same way.

Now I’m curious...

🥣 Team Breakfast or ⏰ Team Intermittent Fasting?

Saturday mornings usually mean sleeping in… but we chose something different 🌿
Our first Wellness Breakfast Club was about more than exercise.
🚶 Movement
🌳 Nature
💬 Connection
🥣 Nourishment
❤️ Community
A reminder that looking after ourselves doesn’t have to be complicated — sometimes it starts with simply showing up.
Would you get up early on a Saturday for this? 👇😂

BREAKFAST: THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY… OR IS IT? 🤔

We’ve heard it for years.
“Never skip breakfast.”
“Breakfast kick-starts your metabolism.”
“If you want to lose weight, you must eat breakfast.”

But what does the research actually say?
The answer is more interesting than you might think.

Research suggests that simply eating breakfast doesn’t automatically help us lose weight or “boost” our metabolism. Some people thrive on breakfast; others genuinely aren’t hungry first thing in the morning.
So perhaps the better question isn’t:
“Should I eat breakfast?”
It’s:
“If I eat breakfast, what am I putting on my plate, and how does it make me feel for the rest of the morning?”
🥚 Protein
🥑 Healthy fats
🌾 Fibre-rich whole foods
🍓 Fruit and vegetables
💧 Hydration
Rather than eating breakfast simply because the clock says we should, I’m much more interested in helping people understand their bodies, their hunger, their energy and their individual needs.
And the timing of this conversation couldn’t be better…
Next week end we’re launching our Wellness Breakfast Club. 🌿
Movement. Nutrition. Mindset. Education. Community.
And yes… breakfast! 😉
So I’m curious:
Are you Team Breakfast 🥣 or Team “I Can’t Eat in the Morning” ☕?
Tell me below. 👇

Breakfast isn’t just about food!

🥣 Breakfast is more than what’s on your plate.

A healthy breakfast isn’t just about eating.
It’s about creating a moment to pause.
To nourish your body.
To prepare your mind.
To start your day intentionally instead of rushing.
Healthy habits don’t need to be complicated.
They just need to be consistent.

She thought she’d be living with hay fever and a dog allergy forever... then something unexpected happened. 🌿🐶 Read her story:

Dear Aran
My best friend recently tried Aran’s essential oils for hay fever, and the results have been remarkable. She described them as “absolutely brilliant” and has experienced a complete transformation in her symptoms. The severe hay fever she had suffered with for years has disappeared and most astonishingly, her long-standing allergy to dogs has resolved.
This has made a meaningful difference to her daily life. She can now visit my home comfortably, spend time around dogs without discomfort, and is even considering getting a puppy of her own, something she has dreamed of for years.
Thank you, Aran. Your work has genuinely improved her quality of life.
Kindest regards
Monique
