I used to think getting older meant slowing down.
Now I think it means getting clearer about what really matters.

FAT LOSS CHEAT SHEET 👇

🥩 Protein first.

Why?

Because protein helps keep you full, supports muscle and helps reduce those mid-afternoon snack attacks.

Think:
Eggs, fish, chicken, meat, Greek yogurt, beans and pulses.

🥗 Add colour.

Fruit and vegetables provide vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that support your health.

The more colours on your plate, the better.

🍠 Add slow carbs.

Carbs aren't the enemy.

Choose foods that provide steady energy and help keep hunger under control.

Think:
Potatoes, oats, rice, sweet potato, beans and wholegrains.

🌾 Don't forget fibre.

Fibre helps with fullness, digestion, gut health and blood sugar control.

Most people aren't getting enough.

🥑 Include healthy fats.

Your hormones, brain, joints and skin all need them.

Think:
Olive oil, nuts, seeds, avocado and oily fish.

🐌 Slow down.

Your stomach and brain need time to realise you're eating.

Most people finish their meal long before their body catches up.

🔁 Repeat consistently.

Not perfectly.

Consistently.

Most people don't need a more complicated diet.

They need a simpler one they can stick to.

Follow for straightforward fitness advice and share this with someone who's overcomplicating fat loss. ❤️💪

I've lost count of how many people have sent me this article today.

"Have you seen this?"

"Have you read this?"

Honestly?

I've been banging on about this for years. 😆

The article talks about how just two hours of strength training a week could help reduce the risk of heart disease, dementia, Alzheimer's and a whole host of other health problems as we get older.

And whilst I'm delighted it's making headlines...

It's not really news.

Strength training was never just about building muscle.

It's about staying capable.

An 80-year-old woman picking up her shopping bags?

That's a deadlift.

Getting up from a chair?

That's a squat.

Putting something away in a high cupboard?

That's a shoulder press.

Carrying bags in from the car?

That's a farmer carry.

We give these movements fancy names in the gym.

But really, we're just practising life.

In fact, one of my former clients contacted me today because her 82-year-old mum had read the article and wants to start strength training.

Not 28.

Getting older isn't the problem.

Getting weaker is.

And the good news?

You can do something about that. ❤️

Come with me.
