💛 GET WELL SOON, HENRY 💙
Before anything else, everyone at Parkway would like to send their love and best wishes to Henry, who suffered a nasty broken leg following an awkward fall during today’s game.
Football takes a back seat at moments like this. Our thoughts are with Henry and his family, and we all wish him a full and speedy recovery. We’re all behind you, Henry, and hope to see you back with the team as soon as possible. 💛💙
⚽ FULL TIME | PARKWAY 6–3 ELBURTON VILLA
Parkway started the game brightly and immediately went onto the front foot, refusing to give Elburton a moment to settle.
A brilliant passage of play opened up the visitors before Kobyn made a great run and produced an excellent finish to give Parkway a deserved lead.
Elburton soon equalised from the penalty spot following a sloppy moment from Parkway, but the boys responded quickly. Relentless pressure from Sam and Kobyn forced an own goal to restore Parkway’s advantage.
Sam had earned his opportunity in the starting line-up after really impressing when he came on last week, and that decision proved to be a great one. Full of energy and causing Elburton problems, he got his reward by making it 3–1 with a well-deserved goal.
Parkway then caused their own problems once again, allowing Elburton to pull one back, but the setback didn’t affect the boys. Kobyn added Parkway’s fourth before Sam struck again for his second of the game, capping an excellent individual first-half performance and sending Parkway into the break with a commanding 5–2 lead.
HT | PARKWAY 5–2 ELBURTON VILLA
The second half was arguably even more impressive. Parkway continued to dominate and got their reward when Jacob finished beautifully at the near post to make it six. ⚽🔥
Elburton struggled to get out of their own half for long periods, and Parkway could — and probably should — have added several more. Efforts were cleared off the line, the crossbar was struck and the Elburton goalkeeper produced several excellent saves to keep the score down.
With the result secure, Elburton managed to grab a third from a corner shortly before the final whistle.
FT | PARKWAY 6–3 ELBURTON VILLA 💛💙
A superb performance from Parkway, featuring excellent pressing, confident passing and some brilliant passages of play. Even at 6–3, the final scoreline didn’t truly reflect the boys’ dominance.
Most importantly though, today is about Henry. The result becomes secondary when one of your own suffers an injury like that.
Everyone at Parkway is thinking of you, mate. Get well soon, Henry — the whole Parkway family is behind you. 💛💙
