💙 All money raised will go towards our Granby FC Team Essentials Fund, helping us provide the team with essentials such as water bottles, boot bags, training equipment and more! ⚽️

On Friday, we took on a team who had beaten us heavily in our most recent tournament; we gave them a game, despite expecting the same end result.

The result was the same (worse in fact), but it’s all about getting in the practice and the experience ready for the upcoming season.

The team kept going, and kept their heads held high. We were most proud of the fact that despite the ball ending up in the back of our net numerous times, we picked it out and put it back on the centre circle, ready to go again!

The resilience to keep going and battle through such a tough game shows the determination of this squad 😍

Our first outing in our awesome away strip, thanks again to Bogey Knights!!!

Coaches player of the match was our incredible shot stopper, who’s collecting his individual honours like Thanos collecting infinity stones 😅 a great performance yet again!

Parents player of the match was our number 10, who was all over the pitch, he did not stop running! He was getting forward to help the attack and sprinting back to help the defence constantly. A proper midfield performance! Well done lads! (Don’t mind the cat in the picture, not sure what’s going on there 😂 think he was in shock!)

⚽ Tournament Day ⚽

What a day for our Granby Youth FC U9s! ❤️🤍

Our second tournament under our belt 😮‍💨

Eight games, plenty of football, and a fantastic effort from every single player. After a long day of five group games, a quarter-final, semi-final and 3rd place play-off, we finished an incredible 4th place! 👏

⚽ Over 15 Goals Scored

We came up against some very strong, experienced teams, so while we conceded our fair share too, the improvement shown by this group was unbelievable.

The football on display was a joy to watch. We saw brilliant passing, fantastic teamwork, goals from crosses, solo runs, one-touch passing moves, and even a goal straight from our goalkeeper’s long kick! 🤩

The biggest positive wasn’t the finishing position—it was seeing the confidence, teamwork and understanding between the players growing with every game. They’re improving every time they step onto the pitch, and we’re incredibly proud of every one of them.

Although every player made an outstanding contribution to the team today, there were a handful of top, top performances today, which made choosing our player of the day a very difficult task, but we could not look past our shot stopper, who has been an absolute machine between the sticks, making amazing saves, monstrous long kicks, one of which ended up in the back of the opponents net 🤯 well done to our no.1! 🧤 ⚽️ 🥅 🙅‍♂️

A huge thank you to all the parents and supporters who cheered the team on throughout the day. Your encouragement means so much to the players. ❤️

We were missing two of our team today, so I hope to get a full team photo very soon! Our first outing in our amazing new kit. Big love to Bogey Knights!🫶

Lastly, I wanted to give big shout and thank you to Harrison for helping us start out, you’ve been class! 👍 I really appreciate the support, tips and advice 🙏
