Elburton Villa Girls U15

Elburton Villa football club are looking for a new groundsman . Spend a few hours a week in the fresh air, keeping our pitches green, safe, and ready for match days. We supply all the equipment and materials—we just need your dedication.

Role Overview :
We are looking for a community-minded person to help maintain our club’s pitches . Whether you are recently retired, have a passion for football or simply want to give back to the community, this role is perfect for making a tangible difference.

Key Responsibilities

Pitch Preparation: Marking out lines and setting up corner flags and goals before weekend or mid-week fixtures .

Routine Maintenance: Basic grass cutting, divot repair, rolling, and general upkeep of the playing surface.

Equipment Care: Safely operating and maintaining club machinery.

Safety Checks: Inspecting the pitch area to ensure it is free from hazards and safe for players.

🚘 No supporter parking at the ground, please park considerately at King George V Playing fields or nearby residential areas

❌ It’s highly likely there will be a traffic warden presence, and it’s essential we maintain our good relations with our neighbours. Please do not obstruct any access, or park on double yellow lines or verges. You will get ticketed

✅ Gates will open at 0815 to allow set up of gazebos etc, there is a dedicated area for this on our mini pitch

Yesterday, our girls enjoyed an end-of-season trip to Wembley Stadium to watch the 2026 Women's FA Cup Final between Brighton and Manchester City. 🏆🌟

It was a fantastic day out and a brilliant experience for the team, giving the girls the chance to watch top-level football on the biggest stage in English football. 🙌⚽✨

The girls were a credit to the club throughout the day, and we hope they came away with plenty of great memories and inspiration for the future. ❤️🤍🌟

A huge thank you to all the parents for their support and company throughout the day. It was great to spend the day together as part of the Villa family and create more fantastic memories both on and off the pitch. ❤️🤍😊

Today Lilly proudly represented the team as she dropped off a collection of old footballs to both Woodside Animal Welfare Trust and Gables Dogs & Cats Home ❤️🤍

The dogs now have plenty to chase, chew and play with and hopefully the balls will bring lots of fun and enrichment to animals currently in their care 🐕🎾⚽

Rather than letting the footballs sit unused, we thought it would be nice to give them a new purpose while also supporting two brilliant local charities 👏

A huge thank you to all the amazing staff and volunteers at both centres for the incredible work they do every single day caring for and rehoming animals across the region 🐶🐱❤️

Defenders don’t always get the recognition they deserve. Goals and assists often grab the headlines, but every successful team is built on a strong foundation at the back — and this group have been outstanding all season 💪🔥

To concede just 15 league goals all season and finish with the best defensive record in the division is a fantastic achievement and one every one of these girls should be incredibly proud of 👏🧤⚽

Of course, a quick mention also for Lily R in goal behind them who has been a huge part of that defensive success throughout the season 🙌🧤

Whether it’s brave tackles, important blocks, calmness on the ball, great positioning or simply giving absolutely everything for the team, these girls have played a massive role in our success this season 🙌❤️

A special mention also to the players who have stepped into defensive roles throughout the season when needed, notably Eva on several occasions, and done a brilliant job themselves 👏⭐ It really highlights the togetherness and commitment within this squad 🤝

We’ve worked hard all season to create an ethos where defending starts from the front ⚽🏃‍♀️ Every player working hard, closing down, tracking back and fighting for each other has played a huge part in our defensive success 🔥💯

So whilst this post highlights our defenders, a massive well done goes to the whole squad for fully buying into that mentality ❤️🤍

Our number 10 – Rosa 🔴⚪

After a long, hot day in the sunshine ☀️🥵 the coaches’ Player of the Day award went to Rosa 👏🌟

Always positive on the ball, Rosa constantly looked to make things happen for the team — whether that was creating openings for her teammates or driving forward herself ⚽🔥

Her work rate, attitude and willingness to keep battling right until the very end summed up exactly what we wanted from the girls yesterday 💪❤️

A fully deserved winner after a really strong tournament performance 🙌🔴⚪
