It actually feels quite strange to NOT have trained today!
But rest is just as important as the actual exercise itself but that doesnโt mean you can lounge around all day ๐คฃ but doing active recovery is great like getting out in the fresh air and getting 10,000 steps in or maybe you have quite a physical and active job!
Rest allows your body to Recover, Repair and even Improves overall everyday performance so ultimately itโs a WIN WIN!

A few weeks ago my Coach tried to get me to do Pull Ups and I just didnโt have the Upper Body strength to do it however tonight they were in my program to do ๐ฌ which is fine because I use the assisted pull up machine ๐
When me & Devon Parlett got to the Gym however the assisted pull up machine was in use so my partner in crime suggested I use the band and do it which tbh scared me because I just knew Iโd tried before and couldnโt!
๐๐จ๐ง ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง 5 Sets of 6-8 repsโฆthat may not be much to some but to me Iโm bloody proud of myself!

Itโs not often I get to see what my back looks like so today my Coach took some pics and Iโm so proud of how much Iโve achieved in such a short space of time, In going forward weโre doing pics every 2 weeks ๐ฌ so Iโll keep you all updated on the progress!
To say Iโm shattered is an understatement BUT Iโve got 2 days rest coming up and then weโre moving onto NEW SplitsโฆPush, Pull, Legs & Rest and really getting to grips with my Macros!
The journey isnโt going to be an easy one but Iโm trusting and enjoying the process and that is honestly the hardest thing to do!
Long Post Alert But Here Goesโฆ
Iโm about to undertake one of the biggest challenges Iโve ever set myself and to say Iโm scared is an understatementโฆIโve got so many emotions going through me right now itโs crazzzzzy ๐
However this for me isnโt about getting Fit and Healthy itโs soooo much more than that Itโs about being My True Self and to be surrounded by others who have the same desire to achieve goals (no matter how big or small) they set out for themselves no matter what but also to be accepted by others and to show that if I can do it then you 100% can too!
Itโs not going to be an easy 7 months but to stand on a stage amongst others in the BEST shape of my life and show what can be achieved when you put your mind to it is making me so bloody excited!
So if you havenโt already figured it out Iโm getting into prep mode ready to compete next May, this is MASSIVE for me because along the way Iโm going to need to overcome a lot of demons with food (some know the history but thatโs for another day) and also the belief in myself!
But I know for sure that with the support of those closest to me that I WILL achieve this, Iโm going to bring you guys along with me for the ride and share with you the ups and downs because I know there will be many along the way!

6 Healthy Habits you need in your lifeโฆ๐๐ซ๐ฆ
Now Iโve tried many different morning routines but this is what I stick to and it massively helps me each and every day!
1. Make your Bed first thing and practice Gratitude and Affirmations!
2. Move your Body!
3. Get out in the Fresh Air with a little walk be at one with the world!
4. Work on your passion!
5. Surround yourself with positive people who lift you up!
6. Wind down and switch off by reading a book, one that will develop and broaden your mind!
Iโm not saying you have to make loads of changes but one simple change can make a big difference to your life mentally and physically!
Find what works for you and go with that because weโre all different and what works for 1 doesnโt work for another โค๏ธ

Iโm always Amazed at what my body can doโฆI feel ๐๐ฉ๐ง๐ค๐ฃ๐, ๐๐๐๐ก๐ฉ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฎโฆa million miles away from where I was a couple of weeks ago, just shows that getting back on track is exactly what I needed!
Working on yourself is an invest always remember that guysโฆno-one ever regrets a workout ๐

Itโs still not sunk in that have actually achieved itโฆthe ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐๐ fitness challenge Iโve ever completed!
If my Strava is anything to go by (2hrs 18 mins) then I got my target of under 2hrs 20mins but official timings should be out tomorrow ๐
