For hours, a handful of mantas and nurse sharks took turns passing beneath our liveaboard’s lights. This was one of the rare moments when both species shared the spotlight.

This trio of Mantas feasted on zooplankton gathered under our liveaboard's lights one evening. For hours, they barrel fed, repeating a loop-the-loop up and down the water column with mouths open wide.

Often spending their days resting on a sandy bottom, nurse sharks come alive at night. This one was swimming in midwater, captured just off the back of a Maldives liveaboard. A lively few hours - more to come.

I always love finding shark eggcases while diving, but there’s something special about finding one that’s so new. The creamy white, translucent outer shell and bright yellow embryo look so perfectly fragile.

Chesil cove is one of my favourite dive sites. The large pebbles that make up the bottom means the vis can be pretty epic for a UK beach dive. There’s a super healthy seagrass meadow on the site too which is great for all sorts of marine life, including cuttlefish!

An epic night dive on a Komodo reef — one of the highlights was this stunning Spanish Dancer. If you’re a fan of nudibranchs, these are a bucket-list species!

This coral is spawning — releasing millions of gametes into the water column in a spectacular underwater bloom. It’s one of the ocean’s most magical events, timed with the moon and tied to the survival of entire reefs. Blink and you’ll miss it. Taken in Komodo, Indonesia.

So pleased to be placed in the 2025 Underwater Photographer of the Year lineup. It was my first year entering a competition of this size and to have made it so far feels surreal!
Attending the event in London and seeing the incredible work of the others winners was so incredibly inspiring. If you haven’t already checked out the 2025 yearbook I thoroughly reccomend doing so!

This Long Nosed Hawkfish was doing a very, very good job hiding from me in Komodo. There was quite a swell on this dive and I took tons of other shots where his face was obscured. I was so pleased to catch this one and love the depth of the surrounding coral and how it extends from foreground to background, going in and out of focus.
