After a last minute defeat in yesterday's final the boys smashed it out of the park today. Our first outing at a Pro20 tournament and what a day it's been! Making the final at tournaments 2 days in a row is a testament to these boys tenacity and determination.

Only 1 goal conceded all day and some worldy goals scored whilst putting in full graft every game in this heat, it was so hard but they done it. Another day of perfect cohesion between all the lads on the pitch.

Today's players of the day go to Hugo, Thomo & Finley. Well done lads. Outstanding performances all around!!

⭐️ Hugo was unreal today, two big performances in the Semi and the Final to keep us in the game and only conceding one goal over 6 games!!!!! Class saves mate!

⭐️ Thomo, what can I say, our bulldog/Jack Russell up top, how you run that much in this weather is beyond me. At one point he had a shot then ran the full length of the pitch and put in a last ditch tackle at the other end🤣 Starting to really come into your game and those back post goals are becoming a trait of yours 👊🏼

⭐️ Fin, again Finley battled and ran until he had nothing left, scored two mad goals with one being a lefty and literally kept the games alive for us.

Well done to ALL the lads today, absolutely grafted all day and looked like we would never let anyone beat us! Great day all round

MAP teams out and about this weekend ! ⚽️☀️

It was a MAP double at Camelford today as MAP Juniors 9s and 11s came out on top in the PRO 20 tournament. 🏆🏆

Sorry it's late but we're still not quite over today! What can we say about today guys - other than the boys were unbelievable!!

They played some amazing football and not to even concede a goal until the semi-final game speaks volumes of how solid we were. Everyone won their individual battles from the keepers to the players at the back to the midfield and all the way up top to the strikers, pure class.

Special mentions to our Player of the Day Freddie who was relentless down the right wing all day! Finley was unbelievable and scored that absolute worldy and Thomo up front holding up play with relentless effort and scoring a handful of goals, Jake also firing for us today with lots of different type of goals and Hugo making some massive saves for us also.

So proud of them all 🫶🏼 The final could had gone either way but that’s football and it wasn't our day. Proud runners up and we go again tomorrow with another cracking day.

What a day! ☔️

First time playing 9a-side and these lads took it in their stride. A great game in not-so-great weather conditions but they loved the challenge - just look at their faces after 60+ minutes in torrential rain 😆

No win this time, but a fantastic learning experience for them all.

To say we're proud is an understatement! Every single one of those boys were brilliant today. I said before the game “we win with effort, work rate and communication” that’s exactly what they all done.

It’s been a long season but in the end the boys fought hard for each other and came together to win as a team.

We have to mention our MOTMs...

⭐️ Opie “the big dog” he was 15ft tall today, wouldn’t let himself be beaten, the calmness on the ball, strength in the tackle and willingness to do everything he could to stop them winning was amazing! Best game I’ve seen him play……. the bar has been set 👊🏼

⭐️ Fin had to deal with 2/3 players at a time, to some it might have looked like he was just chasing but that’s exactly what I asked him to do; be busy and disrupt. They couldn’t handle his tenacity and willingness to win the ball, ending up in him pinching the first goal for us and turning the game on its head!

⭐️ Special mention for Reuben, the pressure of a final can be hard for a young lad and I’ve seen it swallow lads up. Reuben dug deep when he came on, settled the midfield and was a warrior at the back for us. To overcome his nerves was a big one! Well done mate.

The whole team have given everything this season……… on to Butlins 🙏
