Mount Gould Juniors U15's

With Bolitho Park the setting and 2nd place at stake, Mount Gould didn't disappoint, as they cruised to a comfortable win against their rivals.
Billingham was first to open the scoring, with his hard work paying off to glide one in past the Parkway keeper.
They say you make your own luck, and a spill from the Parkway keeper, bounced straight into the path of the oncoming Tichopad, before trickling over the line. Once again lady luck was with our striker as a clearance from the keeper into the oncoming forward, resulting in it striking Tichopad, bouncing off him and into the back of the net.
3-0 at half time.
The second half was a battle, credit to Parkway as they looked really dangerous, but a staunch performance from the away team meant pride was restored.
The home team pulled one back late in the half, but it wasn't enough to stop Mount Gould securing the 3 points.

A score-line that didn't reflect the game, Mount Gould Juniors Under 15's succumb to a disappointing outing at a mostly equal contest, in which clinical forward play became the difference.
MAP Juniors were in the ascendency for a lot of the first half, despite the home team captain Jayden Elsey hitting the crossbar and the whole team having several chances, including a shot just wide of the post, it ended 1-0 at half-time.
The second half was a different kettle of fish, with Mount Gould dismantling MAPs midfield, but we ultimately couldn't capitialise on our chances, and the away team finished the game off with 2 goals at 62 and 74 minutes.
Great effort from the lads and we go again on the 25th against Plymouth Parkway Youth Under 15s to make amends for the last match.
Man of the match Jack Dean, worked his socks off to defend against fast and clinical forward moving opponents.

A thrilling game of football, sees Mount Gould unlucky to come away with only a point away at rivals MAP Kings Under 15’s.
A soft penalty, a defensive lapse and two strikes of the crossbar meant that the lads went in at half-time undeservedly 2-0 down, after an even first-half, with chances coming from both sides.
After the restart, 4 goals in 9 minutes, brought the game to 3-3, with some fabulous work from Mount Gould, and some great saves from the opposition keeper, which meant we could have been 5 or 6 to the good. 1 chance, 1 goal from MAP, in 30 minutes of one way traffic, with Mount Gould dominating in a relentless onslaught of the MAP goal, meant the home side came away with something from the game, aiding their relegation survival and denting our title hopes.

A set back at home as Mount Gould succumb to an unflattering score-line with a first-half fraught with individual errors to come in at the break 5-1 down. A change in formation helped nullify the midfield battle, and the home team had several chances go just wide of the target, often unlucky. Mount Gould showed spirit, keeping their hands up until the end, with a late goal by the away team rubbing salt into the wound with a very late 6th. Ultimately, the home team tried to force the game, and this played into the hands of Parkway.
A truly disappointing result, as the score-line does not reflect the battle.
