Absolutely outstanding effort from the girls today! ☀️
With the sun shining and a big pitch against a strong team, we knew it was going to be hard work but from the first whistle, the girls didn’t stop running. Every single player worked tirelessly for one another. It was a brilliant game to watch, with both teams giving their all and playing some superb football.

Supporters’ Player of the Day goes to Jess for her fantastic work on the wing. She gave everything so much so she even asked to come off, which says it all! Jess always wants to be on that pitch, and her commitment is brilliant to see.

Opposition Player of the Game goes to Summer. She was excellent on the wing knew exactly when to take players on down the outside and when to cut inside. She fully deserved her goal for her efforts.

Coaches’ Player of the Game goes to Pola. Goalkeeping is one of the toughest positions, but we’re lucky to have such a reliable pair of hands. Always alert, reading the game brilliantly, and pulling off four one-on-one saves today an incredible performance.

Due to the Easter weekend, we were a bit short today with only nine players and no goalkeeper but that didn’t phase the girls at all. They showed incredible character and teamwork from start to finish.
This game really proved how close they are as a team. Nine individuals stepped onto the pitch, but as soon as the whistle blew, they became one unit. They played football the right way moving the ball brilliantly and working tirelessly to win it back when out of possession.
Every single one of them deserves recognition today. A special shoutout to our stand-in keepers, Rebecca and Isla, who both kept clean sheets 👏
Coach’s Player of the Match: Evie
Solid at the back as always, but today she showed great confidence pushing forward, getting on the ball in the opposition half, and scoring her first goal for the club 🎉
Supporters’ Player of the Match: Summer
Another fantastic performance on the wing, topped off with what might be the best team goal we’ll see all weekend
Opposition’s Player of the Match: Elysia
Stepped in today after recovering ahead of schedule due to our short numbers and picked up right where she left off, putting in a huge shift on the wing.

The girls made sure the only thing blown away today was the coaches! Playing up at the Staddy in a strong gale, they worked incredibly hard for each other, choosing to play against the wind in the first half. We knew it would be tough, but they never let up and kept pushing the entire time.
That effort paid off in the second half, as they reaped the rewards from all the hard work in the opening 30 minutes. A brilliant team performance all round as we look to carry this momentum into 8th May.
Coaches’ Player of the Match: Esther – rock solid at the back and completely unfazed by the pace of the opposition.
Supporters’ Player of the Match: Jess – gave absolutely everything, a constant threat on the wing and put in a true 110% performance (even too tired to enjoy the famous Staddy sausage and chips after!).
Opposition Player of the Match: Phoebe – full of confidence at the moment, which is great for Hunters but not so much for defenders!
Well done girls – we go again next week 💪

After a fantastic game of football in the sunshine against strong opposition, the girls came together and showed real team spirit. They worked tirelessly for each other, playing some brilliant football and impressing both coaches and spectators alike.

We’re blaming it on the fact everyone was focused on the game and not the parents enjoying last nights evening sun but all three trophies were forgotten. So here are the girls receiving fresh air.

Double celebration today the girls have made it through to the cup final and it’s manager Dan’s birthday.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing football mums and nans who are there at every training session and every match, come rain or shine. Your support, lifts, cheers from the sidelines and endless dedication are what keep our team going. Without you, our girls simply wouldn’t have a team.
Today we celebrate you and everything you do behind the scenes for the love of the game and the girls. Hope you’re all being well and truly spoiled and having a fantastic day. Thank you for being such an important part of our team! ⚽💐

Not the result we wanted today, but win, lose or draw we learn. The girls are already looking forward to our cup game next Saturday at home. 💪⚽
