New season, new players and a new league…
Saturday saw us play our first game in the Northumberland Football League over at Cochrane Park.

Not a win in terms of the result but a very positive start is the best way to describe Saturday. We played our old friends Stocksfield who always give us a good game and this was a belter!

We found ourselves trailing 3-0 but managed to really fight back to score two goals really piling the pressure on the Oranges. However if it wasn’t for Danny this could have easily been double figures. Save after save after save saw us stay in the game until the dying moments.

All the boys were fantastic and we can’t wait to see where this season takes us 🖤❤️⚽️

Cramlington 7-0 Prudhoe Mags

Well another learning curve this morning for the boys unfortunately, but all comes with trying to find our true level heading into the new season.

A “mid to low” Cramlington team proved to be a little too much for us to handle, not quite on our top form we struggled to get going and didn’t look after the ball in periods of the game, however if it wasn’t for their goalkeeper making 4 or 5 absolutely amazing saves we could have been well into the game. (Probs the best keeper we’ve seen play)

Some good individual performances but MOTM for another outstanding performance at the back went to AJ, a never give up attitude and starting to learn position and helping Danny in goal. Really settling into his new role

Morning everyone, quick update from the past few weeks…
Fair to say we’re still very much finding our feet against the teams further towards town and north Northumberland.

Last week we faced a very good Wallsend boys club who moved the ball well and in miserable conditions we looked a little tired and disheartened. But we kept battling till the end.
MOM was Harvey

Training on Thursday was a warm one but the lads that turned up knuckled down and we worked hard around playing from the back and looking to work the ball wide.
