What a fantastic performance from Ophelia today!

Ophelia once again dominated the midfield area, consistently winning the ball back and showing fantastic energy and determination throughout the game.

She was confident running at the opposition defence, carrying the ball forward and creating opportunities with some excellent key passes. She also made some very good tackles, showing her willingness to work hard for the team in both attack and defence.

And to top off an outstanding performance… OPHELIA SCORED HER FIRST GOAL FOR THE FALCONS!

A brilliant moment and a fantastic reward for all her hard work today.

What a performance from Isabella today!

A strong, commanding and composed display in defence from start to finish. Isabella looked incredibly confident on the ball and was fantastic at driving the team forward from the back.

Whether we played with a back three or back two, Isabella adapted brilliantly and always looked comfortable, calm and in control.

She won challenges, made some excellent defensive decisions and showed great confidence when bringing the ball out from the back.

Rossendale Valley Falcons 6–1 Droylsden

What a performance from the Falcons!

The girls carried on their fantastic form from the last game, showing even more confidence, composure and quality in front of goal.

From the first whistle, the girls battled hard all over the pitch and worked tirelessly for one another. We pressed as a team, competed for every ball and never allowed Droylsden to settle into any rhythm.

The girls moved the ball brilliantly at times, created plenty of opportunities and showed a real clinical edge in front of goal. But more importantly, it was another fantastic all-round team performance, with every player playing their part and contributing to another excellent result.

There was plenty of energy, determination and togetherness throughout the game, and the girls continued to show just how much they have developed as a team.

Six goals, another strong performance and another huge confidence boost as we build towards the new season!

After all the hard work throughout pre-season, the girls are now more than ready for the season to start. The preparation is done, the hard work has been put in and now it’s time to take everything we’ve worked on into competitive football.

A massive well done to every single girl you should all be incredibly proud of your performance!

Our final pre-season game is here!

One last test before the 2026/27 season officially begins!

After a busy pre-season, the girls are ready to step back onto the pitch, get those final minutes in the legs, put everything we’ve been working on into practice and build confidence ahead of the new season.

One last game. One last push. Then… it’s season time!

🏆 GIRL OF THE GAME – EVIE TURNER 🏆

Evie was absolutely fantastic in today’s game!

Playing in centre midfield, her work rate, energy and determination were outstanding from start to finish.

Evie was always looking to drive the team forward with her strong running, while also picking out some brilliant passes for her teammates.

Her defensive work was equally impressive, always willing to put a tackle in when needed and never giving up on a challenge.

A fantastic all-round performance from Evie — well deserved, girls!

🏆 GIRL OF THE GAME – MYLA SHIERS 🏆

Myla was brilliant today, consistently causing problems for the opposition defence with her strong running and excellent close control.

She was a constant threat, showing great confidence to cut inside or take the ball on the outside, making it difficult for defenders to know which way she was going.

Myla was always looking to create chances for her teammates and herself, showing fantastic attacking intent and determination throughout the game.

⚽️ MATCH REPORT ⚽️

Rossendale Valley Falcons 1–1 Rochdale FC

It was fantastic to see the girls finally back playing football after the summer break, and you wouldn’t have believed they had been away from the pitch for so long!

From the first whistle to the last, the girls were absolutely fantastic. The passing and movement was excellent, with the team playing with great speed, intensity and purpose.

Defensively, we looked really strong and worked brilliantly together. Our goalkeeper was commanding in her area, making some important decisions and showing great confidence coming off her line.

In attack, the girls caused plenty of problems, with players making intelligent runs in behind, while also doing a great job of holding the ball up and bringing others into play.

Our midfield worked incredibly hard throughout the game, battling for every ball and constantly looking to unlock the Rochdale defence with some excellent, pinpoint passes.

To come away with a 1–1 draw against a strong Rochdale side was a great result, but more importantly, the performance was full of positives.

You genuinely wouldn’t have believed that these girls hadn’t played a competitive game since the beginning of July. Every single player was fantastic today, and this feels like a really exciting start to the new season.

If we continue to play football with this attitude, work rate and togetherness, I’m sure we’re going to have a very successful season.

It’s time to get back on the pitch as we continue our pre-season preparations with a game against Rochdale FC Girls!

After a well earned summer break, the girls are ready to get back together, enjoy their football and start building towards the 2026/27 season.

A chance to get some minutes in the legs, work on new things and most importantly enjoy being back out there together!

Over the last week, we’ve had some fantastic news! ⚽️

Two of our girls, who previously attended trials at Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United, have both been offered places within their respective ETC and PCOE setups!

We are incredibly proud of Lottie & Savannah and the hard work, dedication and commitment they have shown not only at their trials, but throughout their football journey.

It’s a fantastic achievement and a testament to how much effort they continue to put into their football.

Well done Lottie & Savannah!

Keep working hard, keep believing and keep enjoying the journey!
