What is a sound bath?
The application of sound for healing has been used for thousands of years across a number of different cultures. With the pressures of modern day life, it is becoming an increasingly popular method of wellbeing. Sound baths create space to unwind from daily stress and tension allowing you to find harmony and balance within the mind, body and spirit. During a session you will be immersed in beautiful sounds that send healing vibrations on multiple levels, enabling you to achieve a unique, deep state of relaxation.
By lying down close to the ground you can feel vibrations from the instruments that are played such as drums, crystal bowls and gongs. Kalie will take you on a journey with sound where you can work on releasing negative thought patterns and emotional difficulties alongside accelerating physical healing.
At the end of a sound bath people can experience a range of ongoing benefits described as rejuvenation, heightened awareness and clarity, a sense of feeling positive and alive. Each experience is completely different and varies from person to person.

Social media has a greater importance in my life than I would like to admit. I often create unnecessary pressure on myself about what to write and post. This often leads to days of me not posting because I don't think I have anything of value to say or share. When I started my Instagram, I never thought it would have any significance in my life. I definitely had no idea that I would be able to reach out to so many people to share my thoughts and opinions. It’s something that I lightheartedly take seriously. Seriously, because I have been blessed with a great opportunity to have a voice to inspire, and lightheartedly because I don’t want to take myself serious.
The Dalai Lama says that the key to joy is thinking about yourself less. He says that when he speaks, he doesn’t think “I am the Dalai Lama,” because there is only one Dalai Lama and that creates a tremendous amount of pressure. Instead, he thinks that he is just one of 7 billion people. To be a part of the whole rather than separate releases the need to be “something,” it alleviates the pressure of thinking there is something to prove, to be set apart. Separation creates suffering, yet we are continually looking to stand out, to stand apart.
To think about yourself less, all you need to do is think about others more. This is one of the simplest and most fulfilling paths to free yourself from the ego. It seems counterintuitive, but it is more gratifying, more satisfying, and more joyful to serve others. There is nothing more empty than a life of only serving yourself.
Social media can be a beautiful tool to serve, inspire, encourage and love. But like any tool, it can become a weapon depending on how you hold it.
