A message to my clients.
During these difficult times I am following the advice of the FRC and the WCF, and of course the government.
At present I will continue to shoe as normal and honour appointments booked in. Please be patient if i need to make changes so to accommodate everyone. I may, where possible try and bring appointments forward if a total lockdown is imminent but the diary is pretty booked up and may be utilising the extra daylight to do this so some appointments may be very early or quite late.
As long as your horse isn’t dangerous I’m happy to help myself as long as they are in the stable and easily accessible and good to catch. I will be following the social distancing guidelines and expect my clients to do the same. There is no need for me to have any human contact or close interaction when going about my daily rounding.
I won’t be accepting any tea, coffee or snacks so don’t be offended when I decline, when this is over this will the first thing to change but currently it should help the diet!!
Moving forward over the next few months, if you wish to have shoes off and go barefoot for a bit for financial reasons please discuss this with me, I will advise what to do best for the animal. Also if your horse is in reduced work we can also discuss a longer shoeing or trimming cycle for the same reasons.
Until it is illegal for me to carry on my business I will on the grounds of animal welfare. If I develop symptoms of course I will have to stop for a while.
All the best and stay safe.

❗️ Polite notice ❗️
There will be a £20 charge for horses presented to me with muddy feet.
All I ask is for you to TOWEL them off, please do not hose (wet) them. The mud/ wet feet blunt my rasps, rasps cost me roughly £30 and I use at least 1 a week, however they do not last as long when rusty or blocked and blunted by mud and wet.
I cannot think of any customers I have off the top of my head that do not have access to a towel.
Many thanks, Evie 🦄🦄🦄

We are delighted to announce that SGC Farriery will be sponsoring 2 very exceptionally talented jockeys for the forthcoming season. Firstly the very established talent that is Lauren Moore-Williams with more then 10 years with continuous wins at many top level shows including HOYS,RIHS, Royal Welsh. With such a varied string of talented horses.
Secondly the up and coming jockey that is Crystal White with her first year of jumping top level 128s ending on a high it is clear she is a natural talent. Competing in many championships and successfully jumping at RIHS and nationals already.
Wishing you 2 ladies the very best of luck for and we will all be cheering you on 🎉🎉🎉
