Happy Friday!
It’s the end of another week, get those tasks from this week finished, and celebrate your wins no matter how small. Goals are individual so evaluate them ready to go again next week.
It may be hard to stay focused with everything winding down for Christmas, so even if you just focus on getting through the tasks ahead this next week make sure you plan some self care and relaxation amongst the madness.

A quick fix or fad/extreme programme may get you results short term, leading to disordered eating, injuries, guilt and yo yo dieting. If you truly want results that are healthy and sustainable build healthy habits without extremes hit targets slowly over a quick fix and be consistent.
Consistency brings balance, its manageable and sustainable.
Most importantly you need to work on your mind and wellbeing too. Health isn't about being skinny or lean it's total balance of healthy eating, appropriate exercise and working to reduce stress and improve mental health and wellbeing.

10 self care ideas perfect for any day but especially a Sunday!
Self care is so important, we often find ourselves giving and doing for others yet we forget ourselves. This can lead to burnout, you need self care to refill your cup because you can't pour from an empty one!

I know a lot of people aren't fans of squats but with these benefits and how easily you can fit squats into your everyday activities it's hard not to love them! Can't do a full squat, get a dining chair and use the back for support when standing or you can sit down and stand up, if chairbased is the way you need to go you can sit and raise your knees! To make harder add a jump or a jump twist or weight. In every day tasks squat rather than bending (safe lifting)
You can also add arm exercises whilst you squat too!

Even as a Personal Trainer and group x fitness instructor there are days where I struggle with motivation, I am passionate and absolutely love what I am doing and practice these tips so I can keep showing up with a smile to classes and sessions.

Fitness isn't about having a perfect body, its about embracing the amazing things your body can do, it's about becoming stronger not just physically but mentally too, its therapy as it boosts your mood and your wellness, its about self care and self love. It's not being in competition to be better than anyone else its about becoming better than you were.
Train for health improvement not to be skinny or look lean, build those healthy habits without fad diets and exercising to the extreme. It's also about rest to let the body recover and switching off the mind to relax

No matter how slow progress is progress, there is no quick fix to become healthy and its not about being skinny or lean it's about feeling better in yourself.
