🏆 ARENA PROJECTS YOUTH CUP 🏆

This Sunday we turn our attention to the cup as we travel to face Undy AFC Youth.

Last weekend’s second-half performance gave us something to build on. There was more fight, more togetherness and more of what we know this group is capable of.

Now it’s about carrying that into Sunday.

Start on the front foot, compete for everything and play for each other from the first whistle to the last.

A different competition, a new opponent & another opportunity to show what we’re about.

📅 Sunday 11th October
⏰ 2PM

One in. All in.

FULL TIME | PORTH 2–4 ABERDARE

Plenty to take from today despite the result.

We changed our shape and for the opening 20 minutes it really worked. We created some brilliant chances and should easily have been three up early doors — but it showed just how important taking your chances is. Aberdare went the other way, took theirs and added a penalty.

A few choice words at half-time around attitude, desire and the willingness to put your body on the line. The challenge was simple: WIN THE SECOND HALF......

And the boys did exactly that. 👊

There were lots of positives today. Something to build on and something we can use to kick on. We know we have a squad full of talented players and this season was always going to be transitional. We need to stick together, keep working and take it game by game.

We won't hide from the results, but we also won't ignore the progress, it's frustrating to lose again but we all know what's in these boys when it clicks, it will click soon 👊

Porth coaches' choice — Jack Snooks 👏

Two lads who thoroughly deserved the recognition today. 🔥🔥

A big thank you to Aberdare for coming over today. A good competitive game played in the right spirit, and we wish them all the best for the rest of the season.

We go again next week in the cup 👊

Another strong squad ready to go. 👊

The last few results haven't gone our way, but there's only one response — stick together, work harder and keep believing.

We know what this group is capable of. Only a few short months ago we had a cup on our hands. Now it's about showing it on the pitch from the first whistle to the last. 👊

One team. One squad. Everyone together.

Time to respond. Time to fight for the badge.

League match 3 Result - Treharris 9–1 Porth Harlequins

For 20 minutes, we were outstanding. The Treharris coaches even said they thought they were in for a beating.

Then the next 70 minutes happened.

We’re not going to dress it up. Some harsh words at half & full time, but - No point moaning. No point sulking. No excuses.

Roll the sleeves up. Stick together. Work harder. Go again. 👊

⚽ LEAGUE MATCH 3 SQUAD ANOUNCEMENT ⚽

No looking backwards. It’s time to step up and make an impact.

This Sunday we go into League Match 3 with one message: ONE IN. ALL IN.

Stick together. Fight for each other. Fight for the badge. Be a TEAM. 💪

We know what can happen when this group believes in each other — we proved that last season when we stood together and finished as Cup Winners. 🏆

Now it’s time to find that same belief, that same fight and that same togetherness again.

Every tackle. Every run. Every challenge. Every minute. Together. 👊

⚽ LEAGUE MATCH 2 ⚽

After a tough result last time out, the lads are bursting to get back at it and put in a performance that shows what this group is really about.

No excuses. No feeling sorry for ourselves. Just a chance to respond in the right way, compete from the first whistle and give a proper account of ourselves.

✍️ SUMMER SIGNING #7 — SHAY JONES ⚽

Another quality addition to the Quins. 👊

We’re delighted to welcome Shay to Porth Harlequins BGC Youth!

Shay brings a wealth of experience with him, having played from a young age for some great clubs including Ton Pentre and Baglan. Being one of the slightly older lads in the group, he adds even more experience, maturity and quality to what is already a really exciting squad.

We can’t wait to see what Shay brings to the dynamic of the group — and, more importantly, what he can produce on the pitch. ⚽🔥

Another quality player. Another quality addition.

Welcome to the Quins, Shay! 👊⚽🔥

7 summer signings and counting… 👀

FULL TIME | TONYREFAIL 8–1 PORTH HARLEQUINS

First of all, a huge shoutout to Tonyrefail. What a squad of players. Back-to-back champions and you can see exactly why — they’re going to take some beating this season. 👏

As tough as tonight was, it was a pleasure to play them because now we know the standard.

Our pre-season showed us that we belong at this level and we can do damage at this level, but tonight was a step up. Facing the back-to-back champions, with some lads aged 18 going on 19, proved a step too far for us on the night.

But that’s football.

We post when we win. We post when we lose. We learn, we grow and we come again. 💜

Huge shoutouts to Mason Waite & Thomas Mullins , who were both outstanding and gave absolutely everything. Cory Moyle came on, made a huge difference and got himself on the scoresheet ⚽, while Jack Hughes came in and gave everything for the shirt.

No hiding. No excuses. We take the lessons and move forward together.

A very long season ahead and plenty more to come from this group. 👊

Keep your heads high boys, we all believe in you & are with you every step of the way 💯
