"Do I need to have a diagnosis to have coaching?"
This is the question I get asked the most!
A phrase I picked up around this is "Pills don't give skills!" although that applies more to "Is there any point in coaching once I'm diagnosed and on medication?"
💡 You do not need a diagnosis to have coaching
I'm a trained coach, with further training and lived experience of ADHD (I've even coached a few neurotypical people 😲)
💡 Coaching is helpful any time:
- realising you may have ADHD and seeking assessment is a huge thing to navigate
- being diagnosed and deciding whether to try medication and navigate that process is huge
- even if medication works for you, you still have ADHD. The picture shows my lovely rainbow timer that makes time visual for me. Halfway through a session this morning I realised I hadn't put it on 🤦🏻♀️ but I wouldn't have it if I hadn't been coached in organisation and time awareness!
- coaching helps you understand your own brain better and work with it, blocking out all the "Just do this..." "Why don't you try this..." you've heard your whole life, and the negative self-talk ❤️

There is increasing research into the overlap between ADHD, autism and various other conditions.
This gives an overview of current thinking - still a lot of unknowns but it's good to be aware.
I am hypersensitive to certain foods, mainly chemical additives - sweeteners, preservatives etc.
I've had migraines since I was 13.
Perimenopause heading to menopause is throwing me all over the place!
ADHD's Curious Connections to Chronic Inflammation and Dysautonomia
Emerging research is exploring how a range of physical health conditions affects people with ADHD in previously unknown ways.

I have a lot of experience around autism but wanted to consolidate my knowledge.
It was on my CPD list and I achieved it! 🎉

Self-employment makes a lot of sense after some interesting workplace experiences 😂
However, I still have ADHD, so ALL the admin is a lot 🤦🏻♀️
It's happening though! 🎉
