🏃‍♀️💗 From coastlines to cobbled streets… the miles are adding up!

As Orlaith gets closer to the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11 October, we’re looking back at some of the places her training has taken her — from beautiful North Devon to Dubrovnik. 🌊🇭🇷

But every mile has a purpose. Orlaith is running to support Breast Cancer Now, helping fund vital research and support for people affected by breast cancer. 💗

💙 Wishing you all the best, Iqra!

Today is Iqra’s last day with The Neuro Rehab Practice, as she moves on to new adventures after nearly 5 years with us.

Over the years, Iqra has certainly brought her own unique interests and talents to the practice: and it’s been lovely to see some of those interests spark curiosity among our clients too. 🎸🏹🎨

From guitar and archery to her wonderfully detailed drawings on our notice board, there has always been something a little different to discover! ✨

Thank you, Iqra, for the time you’ve spent with us and for the memories along the way.

We wish you all the very best for your next chapter and whatever adventures come your way. 💙✨

🏃‍♀️💗 The countdown is on…

Just over two weeks to go until our Practice Manager, Orlaith, takes on the Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11 October! 👟🌳

The training is underway : even if it means squeezing in a few stretches and little runs around the clinic! 😄💪

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be following Orlaith’s journey as she gets ready for the big day. 🏃‍♀️✨

But this run is for a very special reason. Orlaith is raising money for Breast Cancer Now , supporting world-class research and life-changing support for people affected by breast cancer. 💗

If you’d like to support her, you can donate via link in bio ⬆️ every contribution is hugely appreciated. ❤️🙏

Functional Friday: 💙 Every Step Counts

From using a wheelchair after stroke to now being able to take steps with a quad stick and just a little support: this journey is nothing short of incredible. 👏

What you’re seeing is resilience, patience and so much hard work coming together. ❤️‍🩹

✨ Courage to keep going
✨ The support of family & neurophysiotherapy team
✨ Dedication to every session
✨ And the determination to never give up

🧠 Neuroplasticity in action: the brain can adapt and strengthen new pathways through repeated, meaningful practice reminding us that every single step matters.

This beautiful moment was captured during our monthly Roll & Stroll, and it’s a powerful reminder that progress doesn’t always have to be big to be meaningful.

One step. One day. One win at a time. 💙

Because sometimes, the smallest step forward is actually the biggest milestone.

We’re so proud to be part of this journey: truly inspiring. 🌟

Can a puppy help rehabilitation? 🐶🧠

Maybe not by delivering physiotherapy… but by creating moments of joy.

Positive emotions, laughter and meaningful social interactions can help people engage more fully in rehabilitation. When therapy is enjoyable, people are often more motivated to participate and that’s an important part of recovery.

Today’s furry visitor certainly brought plenty of smiles! 💙🐾

More than just a smile… 🙏

After a stroke, weakness or paralysis of the facial muscles can affect smiling, speaking, eating, drinking and expressing emotions.

Through neuroplasticity, the brain can adapt and relearn. With the right assessment, targeted exercises and hands-on treatment, facial physiotherapy can help improve:
😊 Facial symmetry
🗣️ Speech and communication
🥤 Eating and drinking
👁️ Eye closure and facial control
💙 Confidence and emotional expression

At The Neuro Rehab Practice, our physiotherapy team has been trained by Justine, a specialist in facial rehabilitation, allowing us to provide personalised, evidence-based treatment to support recovery.

Every movement counts and every smile is worth working for. 🧠✨

Yesterday, we celebrated the last day of our wonderful physiotherapist, Kendal, and what a special (and emotional!) day it was. 🥹

Kendal has made a lasting impact on so many clients, families and colleagues through her professionalism, compassion, positivity and vibrant personality. She has been such a valued part of The Neuro Rehab Practice, and her presence will be greatly missed.

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re incredibly excited for her next adventure as she heads off to the British Virgin Islands ☀️🌊

Thank you, Kendal, for everything you’ve brought to our team and our clients. We are so grateful to have shared this journey with you.

Thankfully, she’s promised to come back and visit—so this isn’t quite goodbye! 😊

Wishing you all the happiness, success and sunshine in this exciting new chapter. 💙✨
