It’s always really satisfying helping someone who’s struggled to find the help they’re looking for from wellbeing professionals and a true pleasure helping this great gentleman Chris Hext - we’ve been working on neurological issues and biomechanical aberrations. Thank you very very much for the kinds words 🙏

These are messages from today. My coaching is just - coaching - it’s you, it’s the texture of your mind, your internal dialogue between the best and worst parts of you.
I don’t care what I am, I care what effect I have in this short existence I’m rapidly passing through.
Before I am gone, I must leave a footprint that is remembered for helping you become who you could be. The world deserves that.
The most painful part of coaching is watching people betray who they could be - that is my mission to resolve.
I’ve being doing “life coaching” for years now, under the guise of fitness coaching.
I think it’s getting towards the time where I make the life coaching and personal development / understanding the priority of my life’s work.
There’s a version of you inside that the world deserves, that you deserve - and we are so opaque to ourselves that it requires an outside eye.
Without any modesty or humility - my greatest strength is understanding and helping people.
I’m entering a new chapter in life - and that is to in its deepest, most truthful form, to guide you to the version of self that the world deserves.
I know you can feel so truly inside of you that there is a potential inside of you that only requires some vital self-understanding to become who you are.
Life is far shorter than you think, but you’ve got time, and IF you have the will - then let’s do it.
This is the official start of the pivot in my coaching.
Message me anything, just say “Matt, can you help me?” and we will begin.

For the last 4 years since going self-employed I’ve worked 6, and at times, 7 days a week.
In someways that’s been in service to my clients.
In others it’s been in an unfounded fear of failure.
This past weekend I decided to finally stop working weekends.
Saturday morning came and I felt a bubbling mixture of guilt, anxiety, restlessness and the sense I should be somewhere else than my living room with the love of my life and my dog.
I felt I should be somewhere giving my all to someone, being productive, achieving something.
But instead, I kept my dressing gown on, stayed on the sofa and finished watching the tv show me and Reanna have wanting to finish.
As I melted deeper into the sofa, anxiety was replaced with calm. Stress replaced with connection. And productivity turned to recuperation.
I’m moving into a different phase of my life.
I make enough money.
I have enough clients.
The business is healthy and secure.
I don’t need anything extravagant, I don’t need more.
In fact, the only thing I needed more of, and now have, is time.
My body is changing, it’s fragile and hurts a lot, it needs more time on the sofa with Reanna and Woody. Less time demonstrating Bulgarian split squats and contorting into odd positions to assess injuries.
I love what I do, it’s not a job. I was made for it.
And I’ll always give my clients my all.
But I need to have my all available to give for me to give it.
Thank you everyone, including the Saturday gang. Wherever you’ve moved to, another day or onto my online coaching - I continue to look forward to serving you.
❤️

At 80 years old and after a knee replacement Mike was struggling to even walk, the idea of ever getting back to running seemed an impossibility. After nearly 2 years of diligent rehabilitation, strength training and many fantastic (and hilarious) chats - here’s my man Mike running again! 🥳
“It can be done” - Mike Wood.
And you’ve done it mate!
I love this job in rehabilitation, it gives me equal part fulfilment and friends for a lifetime.
If you or anyone you know wants to get back to their best - send them my way. My in-person coaching is mainly rehab based (not exclusively, client dependent).
