Week 6 C25K deserves some photography kudos! Richmond is the most beautiful playground to take your mind off the running. Top effort from everyone ☺️💪

We’re incredibly proud to announce swarco as the Principal Sponsor of The Sting Backyard Ultra North 2027!

Having previously supported The Sting with traffic management sponsorship and event safety, SWARCO has already played an important part in helping us deliver safe and successful events.

As a business built around keeping people moving safely, there’s a natural connection between what they do and what matters to us as event organisers.

So we’re absolutely delighted to be taking that partnership one step further.

And what better way to celebrate than by revealing our official 2027 event T-shirt carrying the SWARCO name. 🔥🧡

This isn’t just about putting a logo on a T-shirt. It’s about building partnerships with organisations that believe in what we’re creating and want to be part of its future.

A huge thank you to everyone at SWARCO for their continued support and for believing in The Sting.

While pretty much every club run this week was cold and wet- we most certainly weren’t miserable.

The weekend brought park runs, club runs, C25K tackling Lombards Wynd and a whole plethora of medals and achievements.

Special shout out to Truda, Trevor and Alison for achieving the Chester Triple - Anthony for completing a marathon, and Trish and Kelly for achieving their first half marathon.

We are in awe of Deian completing another 58 mile ultra- and so happy to welcome Charlie who turned 16 and becomes our youngest member.

Days like today remind me how far Team Caterpillar has come.

409 runners took part in Richmond Castle 10k. We represented the club with 30 runners, that’s roughly 1 in every 13 runners a Caterpillar!

And what I love most isn’t just the number of us out there, but the incredible mix of people representing our club.

From our youngest at just 16 through to our V60 runners, spanning generations, abilities and running experiences, all taking on the same challenging 10K course.

Some pretty impressive stats too!

7 runners finished in under 50 minutes, with our fastest three finishing 18th, 21st and 23rd overall, separated by just 52 seconds!

Some were chasing PBs, some were taking on the challenge, and others were simply enjoying being part of something bigger.

30 runners. Different ages. Different abilities. One team.

We’ve come such a long way since we started in 2018, and days like today really bring that home.

We came for the running. We stayed for the people.

These team results. 👏
What a way to start the cross-country season.

5th overall for our women. 9th overall for our men.

156 women, 162 men and some seriously strong clubs on those start lines.

We’re incredibly proud of everyone who pulled on a Team Caterpillar vest at Stewart Park. That’s what turning up as a team looks like.

Next stop ➡️ Fox Rush.

Missed the first one? Get yourself on the next start line. We want an even bigger Team Caterpillar crew.

Cross country is for everyone.
