The lift starts before your feet leave the floor 🔥

Tittibhasana (Firefly Pose) brings strength, mobility and balance together and preparation makes a difference.

✨ Warm up your wrists with gentle movements and gradual weight shifts, building pressure comfortably through your palms.

✨ Activate your core to help draw your thighs towards your torso and keep your shape compact as you lift.

✨ Prepare your inner thighs with straddle folds and gentle side-to-side variations. Keep your knees soft and fold from your hips, gradually exploring the space you need to bring your shoulders under your thighs.

✨ Ease into your forward fold with bent knees. This helps you bring your torso between your thighs and work your shoulders underneath without forcing depth.

When you’re ready, plant your hands, bend your elbows and gradually transfer your weight into your palms. Press the floor away and explore lifting one foot at a time.

Blocks under your hands give you extra clearance while you find your balance.

Straightening your legs is the final layer. Keep your knees bent while you build control there’s plenty of work happening there! 🫶🏻

Save this for your next arm-balance practice.

Stiff hips? Tight lower back? Give yourself a moment to slow down. 🧘🏻‍♀️

Explore this movement gently, stay within a comfortable range and let your breath guide you. There’s no need to push deeper or force a shape.
Keep the movement small if that feels better, and stop if you feel pain or pinching. Every body
moves differently, make the practice yours. 🤍

Save this for your next gentle movement break and share it with someone who always says, “I feel so stiff!”🧘🏻‍♀️

A chair can give you support while you explore movement, build strength and work on your mobility all with space to breathe.🧘🏻‍♀️

If standing poses aren’t accessible, your energy is low, or you simply fancy moving from your seat, there’s room for you here.
Move at your own pace, make the movements smaller when you need to, and leave out anything that doesn’t feel comfortable. Your practice can fit your body today. 🫶🏻

You don’t have to be standing to practise yoga. 🪑💚
You can move, stretch, build strength and connect with your breath from a chair, too.
This gentle flow welcomes different bodies and abilities, including those with reduced mobility, anyone who finds standing practice difficult, or anyone who simply wants a seated movement break.
Yoga is about finding movement that works for YOU. Take the options that feel comfortable, adapt the movements and go at your own pace. Small movements count, too. 🫶🏻
Save this flow for later and share it with someone who could use a little more movement in their day.

Your head isn’t glued to the floor… your weight just hasn’t fully transferred into your hands yet! 👀🐦

Holding tripod headstand and lifting into crow are two different skills. You’re moving from THREE points of support to TWO, and that takes strength, balance and a controlled weight shift.
Here are the details that make a difference 👇

✨ Get compact first.
Bring your knees onto your upper arms, draw your thighs towards your chest and your heels towards your bottom. Keep that connection as you lift.
✨ Transfer the weight.
Shift your hips slightly back towards your hands while keeping your shoulders forward of your wrists. Too far back, and your feet drop. The aim is to make your head lighter as your palms take more of the load.
✨ Push before you lift.
Press firmly through your palms and finger pads. Spread your shoulder blades across your upper back and keep your shoulders from sinking.
✨ Lift your BODY.
Your head leaves the floor because your arms and shoulders raise your body. Pulling your head up or throwing it back won’t create the support you need.
✨ Keep it slow.
Avoid kicking or using momentum. If your head doesn’t become light, lower your feet and reset, never force the lift or twist your neck.
Practise this transition only when tripod headstand and crow are already steady and comfortable in your practice. There’s no rush to connect them. 🫶🏻
Tuck. Transfer. Press. Balance.

Which part feels trickiest for you: lifting your head or keeping your feet up?

Not everyone will understand your way. Not everyone will accept it. And that’s fine. 🤍
The way you move, express yourself, or choose your own path won’t make sense to everyone. You can listen to others and still trust yourself. You don’t need everyone’s approval to enjoy what feels right for you.
My practice gives me space to explore, wobble, fall, laugh, and try again. Sometimes that means turning upside down and seeing what happens. 🙃
On and off the mat, leave a little room to be yourself, even when others would do things differently.
Different perspectives are welcome here. Mine just happens to come with my feet in the air. ✨

Abs working. Mind finally quiet. 🙃💪

If Sirsasana is already part of your practice, this is a creative way to add some core work and play with control upside down.
Moving slowly and controlling the legs challenges your abs to keep you steady. Add a steady breath, and there’s very little room left for the chatter of the mind. You’re right there, focused on the movement.
For me, that’s one of my favourite things about yoga: building strength while giving my busy mind something to focus on. 🤍
Only explore this variation if your headstand is stable and comfortable. Keep the movement small and controlled, there’s no rush.🙏🙌🏼🫶🏻🧘🏻‍♀️

Think yoga is just stretching? Your arms and core might disagree. 😉🔥
Holding, lifting and slowly lowering your own body is a powerful way to build strength. Your body weight provides the resistance, while your muscles work to support you and control the movement.
A steady hold can challenge your arms and shoulders. A slow transition asks your core to keep you stable. And suddenly, that “little yoga flow” feels like quite a workout! 💪
This is why I love bringing strength into my flows: we practise moving with more control, finding our balance and trusting what our bodies can do.
Start with an option that works for you , knees down, a shorter hold or a smaller movement. Breathe, build gradually and let the strength grow. 🫶🏻
Save this flow for your next arms & core practice.
