🐼 INTRODUCING… PANDA 🐼

We’re kicking off our “Introducing…” features with one of the most loved characters in the league and it’s going to take more than his brightly coloured Autism Awareness shirt to put Matthew “Panda” Barrows in the shade! 😎

Because with Panda, the shirt might catch your eye… but it’s his personality that steals the show. You’d be hard pushed to find a more popular player anywhere in the league! ❤️

Proudly sponsored by GR8 Co****le for a second season and playing his club co****le with the Ashby Baggers, Panda is an integral part of Nick Pettitt’s setup crew, putting in the hours before and after every event. Transporting, setting up and breaking down every event, while most of us are still at home thinking about our first throw, Panda is already grafting, getting the venues ready for action.

And when he’s not surrounded by boards and bags, Panda has a rather different kind of day job…
He operates a 60ft wagon with a 25-metre crane on top, travelling all over the UK and relishing the challenge of moving, transporting and relocating what he describes as “abnormal and unusual wonderful things.” 🚛🏗️

Then it’s home to wife Rachel and their two cocker spaniels, Cisco and Fenrys. 🐶🐶❤️

So, whether he’s shifting something that definitely wasn’t designed to be shifted, setting up a UKCL event, or throwing bags on the boards…

Let’s hear it for one of the league’s biggest characters…

THE PEOPLE’S CHAMPION…..
