We have a home fixture against a tough opponent Saturday and its a team we know very well. We played paddock last year 3 times. Twice in the league which ended 3-3 and then away we lost 3-1 bur we did beat paddock in a cup final last year so we are hoping for that same result!!

Recent results have seen us have an undefeted start to the season winning 3 league games and 2 cup matches!! recent of the lot was saturdays county cup game!

We didnt know very much about the opposition other then they are undefeated winning 10 from 10 and with it being the county cup we knew we had a tough game. It was a fast paced game from the off both sides attacking and really going for it, then around the 30th minute mark disaster for the dalians as Declan barry shouted over to the managers signaling he had to come off which we knew was serious as declan wouldnt come off if someone hit him with a train. The tempo from ourside dropped ever so slightly but after a great defending from Jordan Simmonds who put us straight onto the attack with a ball up, it bounced around the box a few times before sam holt got it under control swiveled his hips to shoot and finds the bottom corner for 1-0!!! Stoneclough pushed back and within 15 minutes they had a very easy equaliser which saw the game out to half time.

Second half the dalians was right back at it, winning loose balls, fighting for every second ball and looked very good. A couple shots from dalians resulted in a couple of corners and with 10 minutes to go a delightful ball from lewis greaves met by Danny harrop ( who was a man possessed today ) and Danny guided that ball into the top corner like a prime thiago silva. We had ten minutes to see the game out but Stoneclough kept applying the pressure none stop and with the last 10 seconds a mistake from the referee ( i say mistake because after the game he said to me hes got to go with attacker advantage but wasn’t sure whether it was a foul ) awarded a penalty which they stepped up and scored… final whistle blew and penalties it went too!!

Stone Clough stepped up first and Josh barnes SAVES!!

The dalians traveled away on Saturday facing a tough AFC stockport Sats who started there season off with a good win and a draw so we knew it would be tough.

We found ourself 2-1 down but pushing for the equaliser which after a lovely over the top ball by kerrod, brought down by lewis greaves and he just delicately slots one into the far corner for 2-2. Both teams pushed and pushed but from around 30 yards jamie barry gets a ball played into him and a first time strike finds the top corner for 3-2 dalians!!

We hold on and take all 3 points in the very tight game!

‼️ weekend’s result ‼️

Saturdays game was very mixed emotions, we began the first 10/15 minutes like we left last season and then we slipped into preseason habits and conceded a sloppy goal from ourside and a very lucky goal from galaxy’s side. After half time we settled and we knocked the ball about like we know we can do but we just couldn’t get that equaliser. Then around the 78th minute mark. a brilliant 1-2 from our corner ended up with a scrappy but much deserved goal. From declan barry!! We pushed and pushed for the winner but it just wasn’t our day and the game finished level at 1-1 and both teams share points on our opening day of the season.

We was promted to divison one and will be playing some really tough teams this season!!

A great turn out of players and fans in our first preason game, which other then a soft penalty which was saved! The dalians dominated the game and should have put it to bed before half time.
Minutes in the tank for lots of players and we go again next week against sacred heart reserves!!
