Struggling with wrist pain during Pilates? It doesn’t mean you have to stop.

One of the biggest misconceptions is that Pilates isn’t suitable if you have sore wrists. In reality, most exercises can be adapted so you still get all the benefits without aggravating your symptoms.

Here we’re using blocks to reduce the amount of wrist extension, making the exercise much more comfortable while still challenging strength, control and stability.

These adaptations can be particularly helpful if you have:
• Arthritis
• Tendon injuries
• Wrist pain following surgery (when appropriate for your stage of rehabilitation)
• Reduced wrist mobility

At Easy ST Pilates, we tailor exercises to the individual, so you can keep moving with confidence rather than sitting out.

If wrist pain has been putting you off trying Pilates, let us know—we’ll help you find a way to move that works for you. 💪
