🏉 Community Game Season Update

Following the RFU’s decision to delay the start of the competitive community game season until the week commencing Monday 21 September, Romford & Gidea Park Rugby Club recognises that this will be disappointing for our players, coaches and volunteers, who have all been working hard in preparation for the new season.

The decision follows consideration of a range of factors, including the increasing challenges posed by hotter weather and the need to ensure our pitches remain safe and playable for everyone.

We’re pleased to announce that Bill and the grounds team have secured a generous donation from Marc Pennick to help the club maintain our pitches and invest in an irrigation system.

Marc has kindly supported the club because community involvement is very important to his company. His contribution will help us maintain the quality of our pitches and ensure they are ready for our players throughout the season.

A huge thank you to Marc for his generous support and commitment to our rugby community. 👏🏉

Preseason Game 2 Result 🔥

In the hot weather, the senior men’s sides secured an away win against Basildon! All the lads have managed to get valuable game minutes under their belts, now with two weekends off, time to refine skills for Preseason Game 3 👊🏻
