📢 Match Report 📢

On Sunday the Ravens kicked off their new season with a tough battle against Eton Manor. They started strongly, with the opening 15 minutes seeing both teams battle hard through the centre of the pitch. However, Eton Manor soon found their rhythm, crossing the try line repeatedly.
Despite some strong lineout work and solid scrummaging from the Ravens, missed tackles proved costly. As the game progressed, injuries and players stepping into unfamiliar positions made an already challenging afternoon even tougher. Eton Manor certainly looked a different side to the one we remembered from last year… perhaps they’d been busy recruiting over the summer!

The game finished 61–0 to Eton Manor, but there were still some standout performances from the Ravens. A special shoutout to Izzy for her strong tackling and impressive lineout jumps, and Ruby for some excellent tackles and fierce battles in the back line!

FOM: Abi, for leading the pack, putting in numerous strong tackles, and keeping the communication going on the pitch.
BOM: Heidi, for some brilliant try saving tackles at 15.
T**t Hat: Tors, for never really retiring…and breaking her wrist after retiring (thank you for always helping us out!)

We’ll put this one behind us and leave it in October! A huge thank you to our coaches and supporters who stuck with us until the final whistle. We’ll regroup, reset, and come back stronger. Next up, November 1st 🖤💜
