🌟NCO SCAVENGER HUNT🌟

From creating adverts and taking on photo challenges to tackling tasks across London, our NCO team spent the day putting their creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test! 📸

The challenges were a chance to work together in a different environment, strengthen existing friendships and welcome our newest members to the team, before rounding off the day with dinner🍕🍕

Our NCOs play an important role in shaping the squadron, and days like these help build the relationships and trust that make us a stronger team — both inside and outside of the squadron🤝

It is our sad duty to announce the passing of one of our own.

Flight Sergeant Jason Phillips of 338 (West Ham) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets has sadly passed.

Jason was a huge part of London Wing, starting as a Cadet at 444 (Shoreditch) Squadron before returning as an adult instructor at 296 (Stoke Newington) Squadron before moving on to West Ham.

He leaves behind his Wife Karen, an active Civilian Committee member at 338 and his Sons James, an adult Instructor at 329 (Finsbury) Squadron and Thomas a Cadet Warrant Officer at 296 (Stoke Newington) Squadron.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Karen, James and Tom, as well as all of the Cadets and CFAVs he has had an impact on during his many years of Service.

On 7 October 1938, 6F Romford Squadron was formed. 88 years later, we’re proud to still be going strong — developing young people, creating memories and carrying on the legacy of everyone who has been part of 6F along the way.

On the 13th of September I had the absolute honour and privilege of recieving the LW Colours, and with them Command of London Wing Royal Air Force Air Cadets from the former OCLW, Wing Commander Braddy-Green. Thank you, sir, for all you have done for the Wing during your tenure.

I am looking forward to the adventures and highs that the next four years will bring, and am standing by for the challenges that go alongside it.

To all the Cadets and CFAVs, thank you sincerely for your warm welcome to the command - London is my my home, and the Home of the greatest Wing in the RAFAC.
