🎾 What an incredible experience at Wimbledon! 🎾

Gidea Park Tennis Club is incredibly proud of all our players who qualified for Play Your Way to Wimbledon, after progressing through the club and county stages. 🏆

It was fantastic to have Gidea Park players competing in such a special setting at Wimbledon this week, with players across several events:

A fantastic week for the Essex Men’s team at County Week in Hunstanton, finishing 3rd overall.

Proud to captain such a talented and enjoyable group of players. The standard of tennis all week was outstanding.

A special shout-out to Preston and Otto on making their County Week debuts. Both played unbelievable tennis and picked up many fantastic wins. Dave Wright also had another brilliant week, as always, playing a huge part in the team’s success.

Congratulations to Otto on winning the Jamie Willson Memorial Cup as Player of the Week. A fitting winner of an award that honours former Essex captain Jamie Willson, who I’m sure would have loved to see a young player lift the trophy.

Thanks to everyone for a brilliant week. Looking forward to next year! 💙🎾

Full-day activity camp (8am-5pm) on tennis, arts & crafts, cooking and games for ages 4-10. Making bird feeders, ocean jars, treasure chests and campfire crafts alongside summer fruit kebabs, banana chocolate croissants and other tasty delights.
